Yay, another parkrun video! I got curious and googled the guy who holds the very fast record for Stratford-upon-Avon parkrun - turns out he is a professional athlete and even has a KZbin channel of his own! www.youtube.com/@adam_fogg/videos My parkrun this week was at Trentham Memorial - it was a really nice course in a huge park, and I wrote the run report for it too. So you need to hit SSL, that counts as 1 win, then you need to get 9 more wins in SSL 👍 So yes you do need 10 ssl wins 😄

11:50 plungers don't tend to work as well when the ball has that much momentum and you're that close. So I would wait till one of the opponents hits it, and then use the plunger. 😁

Yeah I really enjoyed Cwmbran! Lovely park, nice and flat and all the facilities you can ask for right at the start / finish! Can imagine the grass section may have been a bit muddied when you went!

Yeah I would definitely recommend doing it! Very fast ending like you said although the last 100-150m is uphill and that feels like a slog 😂 Ah yeah just a little far, one of my favourites though if you do ever get to go. Although I had good weather for it on the day I went😄

I haven’t actually, but am training for a marathon so will do one every now and then to measure how my training is going. Shepton Mallet is the one nearest me, so this and your Old Showfield vids were super helpful, thanks!

Not yet for sub 20 but the plan is to get to further distances. I injured myself and was out for a month due to trying to get too fast a time. So I’m wary now of injuring myself again as I didn’t enjoy the time off! 😄 Instead I’m going to work towards running a 10k and get some races under the belt, then move into speeding up my times and moving towards half marathon distances 👍 I think times will naturally decrease too as I run more frequently 😊

Despite being a major exporter of oil and gas, domestically more than 90% of all power comes from hydro and about 8% comes from wind. Ever since the late 1800s, Norway has harnessed its abundant hydro resources and operates close to 1800 hydro power plants. Gas isn't used in any household. Cooking and heating are both electric, although a few older houses are still heated using bio-fuel.

Oh really I didn't realise that so much of the energy produced was renewable! Thanks for letting me know. 1800 hydroplants! I knew they did generate a lot of power through hydro and wind but I didn't realise just how much. They can basically run the country on renewables which is very sustainable! I guess they invested the money from oil and gas very well! Hopefully other countries can follow in their footsteps!

You got this Chucky! Just keep up the grind and you’ll get into GC in no time. If you play safer, ie rotate to the half way line, that is such an easy way to go up the ranks (may already do this!). But this stops you from conceding punches and plungers from distance. Also can give you time to let spikes run out etc. Hope that helps!
