This may may be a hot take, but I think Wolfgang is far better at guitar than on bass. I don't want to say he was born to play guitar, but he was born to play guitar!! Haha. I can tell he wants to do more but then he remembers wait, I'm on bass, I gotta dial it back a bit. I know he can shred some scales all over this song and to me it's the hardest van halen song to learn because of the timing and wild structure. It's very easy to mess up or get lost on this song. You gotta be tight. And they was tight. I can't wait to hear some new Mammoth. Wolf is so damn talented. R.I.P EVH 🙏 ☝️ remember to keep playing, or he's coming after you ❤

Gotta love the various reactions to playing in front of a bunch of naked old people Rich: Clearly perturbed Steve: Distracting himself by darting his eyes in different directions and running around the stage Phil: Always looking over his shoulder Rags: 404 Not Found until Song For America Billy: Hates the fact that as co-singer he has to be up front but puts on a professional face Greg: "Thank God I'm not facing the audience...."

The most under rated band in hiistory! Fantastic songs. It's a crime that they did not go straight to the top. Dam record companies never supported them.

This album and band line up will always have a special place in my life. From all the Indy venues all the way down to the Duck inn Evansville IN shows . Chris and the crew always played company store for me . As that is my altimeter favorite song .

I loved these guys back then. Saw them about a dozen times. And Chris was, should say is so personable. First time for me was at a bar called Chuck's in Fontana Wisconsin, I went up to tell him during a break how much I loved his voice and the bands sound, We went up to the bar, I was going to get him a round, he flagged the bar tender 1st and got us both a shot Of Jose Cuervo! He was drinking beer otherwise during the show so I got him a beer. Then he reached into his box by the stage and gave me a CD Welcome To the Why Store! There was an after bar party at my friend's house who was the entertainment guy at this bar and bartender & manager of this bar, and they all came over to his house it was about 4:AM, He sang a few songs in the driveway with an acoustic and we smoked a little of Chris's weed he called it blueberry pie really good shit. 🤣 Before it was ever released on the CD VIM, he sang for us Its a Beautiful Day. Thanks to whoever uploaded this and such good quality. Needless to say i've been a big fan ever since. Saw them at the house of blues in chicago later that year. And cheers to the few who still know who the Why Store is.

I miss this configuration of the band so much, wish they could've held it together. Saw more shows than I can remember from Ferndale, St. Joe, Kazoo, Ft.Wayne, Rock Island, Fishers. Always worth the road time to party with with your friends. Love you all, and y'all tube for keeping them alive.

One of the best Dave era songs. This album In its entirety was a pinnacle in Ed’s playing. The Holdsworth Force is strong with this one.

Ahhhh those were the days! Never saw them at the Bluebird during this era, but plenty of times at Nick's in West Lafayette and of course Indy. Always had such a great energy and I remember some dude would come out for a nacho chip solo 😆
