@@ronaldforsythe1248 good point! We didn't make up the recipe but we use the following with a few tweaks. Instead of pears, we use Granny Smith Apples and instead of Soy Sauce, we use Amino Acids. We don't follow it exactly but use it as a guide and may get a little loose with the measurements here and there. Hope this helps! www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/kalbi-korean-barbequed-beef-short-ribs-recipe-1953236

I’ve never seen a vacuum sealer that can vacuum without pulling the liquid before. How does the vacuumarmorzero do it? It looks like it’s using a high frequency vibration to force the air up inside the liquid before it suddenly pulls exactly the right amount of vacuum from the bag.
@Enrythe8th11 күн бұрын
Normal home vacuum sealers suck air out from inside the bag. Chamber vacuum sealers like this one create a vacuum around the bag so all the air is sucked out but it's not pulling out the liquid. The liquid inside is boiling because the pressure is so low. Then the bag seals and normal air pressure is returned.

Thanks for the explanation! It’s an impressive item. I wanted to read more about the product (I’ve had no experience with chamber sealers) but this particular manufacturer no longer has any of this particular line available on their site. I’m checking out other brands to get an idea what’s out there and it looks like there are lots of options. At first glance it looks like they’re more maintenance intensive than the simple suck and seal units that aren’t suitable for liquids.

@@TastySurrealBowl I got a Vevor. It's more expensive and is much larger and heavier than a non-chamber vacuum sealer but I'm pretty happy with the results.

Hi everyone! Yes the explanation on how this works is correct. I explain it in our unboxing video. But yes the air is pulled out which causes the bubbling effect (it doesn't boil/get heated). Then when it's ready to vacuum it returns the air which compresses the bag then it seals. Pretty cool contraption compared to the common ones you see. We bought this from their Amazon store. But beware, you don't get loyalty points for doing so 😕

How do you clean the roots out of your hydroton?
@2_branchfarm25 күн бұрын
@@cliffp73 this was the 4th version our hydroponic system and the first version used perlite. That stuff was next to impossible to clean the roots. For this reason we moved to hydroton in buckets, then 4 bus pans, and then to what you see here. For cleaning, I would use a heavy duty storage container to place a few of them into at a time and use a water hose to spray them down well. Also, I'd use a small piece of PVC pipe to agitate them around. It may take a little bit of work but the dead roots and other debris will float to the top of the water. Last, I used a 5 gallon bucket with small drain holes in the bottom and sides to scoop the clean hydroton out for rinsing and draining a few more times before going back into the grow beds. For good measure, I would restart my system and cycle it for 24 hours using the recommended amount of 23% hydrogen peroxide per gallon. I hope this helps!
@cliffp7325 күн бұрын
@ Thank you for the comment! I am at the 5 gallon bucket stage. I have been “playing with letting it dry out and get the big stuff out and then I use a blower to blow all of the light material ie dried roots. Then I sanitize.

I wish I was there to help you. I have experience with aquaponics and bell siphons. You want the kind with a little hose running from the bell to a little cup. Those are absolutely reliable once you dial them in. I've had them run for a year without a hiccup. I don't have experience with hydroponics except for using bottled nutrients with the soil in my indoor cannabis plants.
@2_branchfarm25 күн бұрын
@@comfortablynumb9342I have seen those before and will have to look at them again. Once I got the bell siphon working though, it never stopped. Thanks for the tips!
@comfortablynumb934225 күн бұрын
@2_branchfarm the tube running down the side of the bell siphon and the cup are important. That's what stops the siphon, when the tube sucks air.

Man, I just checked my leak yesterday on my 401B and it’s in the exact same spot. Gonna splice in the rubber hose so I stop wasting fuel.

Yeah that sucks. I came out and gasoline was slowly seeping everywhere. I wanted to go back with an original metal hose but I didn't want to deal with bending and making fittings. Rubber hose was so much easier. Good luck!
