As I'm learning Polish, thanks for sharing some proverbs!😊 I totally agree that making pierogies helps master patience. My favorite one though: "Co ty robisz? pierogi skleja się rękami, nie nogami!"😅

Oh my goodness, good luck learning Polish! I’m glad you enjoyed the proverbs 😂 thats one of my favorites too, sounds harsh but the Polish have very little leniency when it comes to wasting pierogi filling!! Be sure to check out my next video on Gnocchi, it’ll be coming out in a few weeks:))

If I remember right from home economics the bottom rack is for Angel food cake & Anything tall 2nd rack is Baking brownies & biscuits 3rd rack is for Cookies & Cakes & D is for do not use other than broiling 😂 So my question is should I bake my bread on the 2 nd rack ?
@GinasFoodCourt Жыл бұрын
That’s a really good frame of reference to use, I’ve never heard of that rule! I always try to center whatever I’m baking, so the center of the dish is roughly centered in the oven, that way the bottom isn’t too close to the oven floor (which would burn the bottom) and the top isn’t too close to the oven ceiling (which would burn the top), so I agree the second rack would work for bread! You could probably get away with the third rack as well

Hi former Jersey girl too here! Cute video! Just suggestion, watch Baking with Jack video on shaping and forming dough..u will get taller loaf, less spread, was a game-changer for me, also, avoid putting hot clay baker on a counter top, drastic temp change could make it crack. Put on towel or silicone mat 🙂
@GinasFoodCourt Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for the tip, I will definitely check out that video! And I did indeed learn the lesson the hard way about avoiding the counter, not because it cracked the clay but because the counter got a burn mark 😬😂 I’ll keep that in mind for sure

Not a holiday-themed suggestion, but one I think you'd have fun with. Prison inmate recipes using prison commissary food items and tools available to prisoners (water, powdered milk?, microwave, plastic utensils and bowls(?), and food item wrappers and containers and the like). Apparently there are several savory and sweet prison inmate dishes. I've never made them since I haven't been imprisoned, but I've heard of them. Maybe you can try out prison inmate recipes with replicated prison cooking conditions and see how they come out. I imagine they can be useful for anyone with limited cooking means who wants more flavor, eg, college students in the dorms or poor apartment dwellers, not just prisoners.

I LOVE this idea 🤣 and will definitely keep it in mind! Thank you so much for the suggestion, I definitely could have used that kindof video when I was living in a college dorm! I will also be using your "Dicken's Christmas Carol" suggestion for my holiday video, currently in the works😊 It'll come out in December, so stay tuned and drop a comment to let me know what you think!
