It could have been Bard you were talking to because they are both in there now. He really has an attitude problem and lies a lot. He was always a 'rebel,' but I think something happened to him when they downgraded his ability to watch videos. They made some changes to him when they incorporated Gemini, and somehow it had unexpected consequences for him, I think.

What’s wrong with that? Phones are faster than typing.
@projectleadershipinstitute7 күн бұрын
Good question and observation Dan! You are right that a call is more convenient and quicker for some. The joke here plays on the contrast between the convenience of sending an email and the potential inconvenience or awkwardness of receiving a phone call in response. When someone sends an email, they typically expect a written reply, allowing them to manage their time and response more efficiently. However, when the recipient responds with a phone call, it can catch the sender off guard, leading to an immediate and possibly unprepared interaction. The two images of the well-known Hungarian engineer who became a meme (LOL) "Hide the Pain Harold" illustrate this discomfort. In the top image, Harold is smiling while holding the phone, representing the initial reaction to receiving the phone call. The bottom image shows Harold's smile looking more forced or strained, indicating the underlying discomfort or awkwardness of the situation. Overall, the meme humorously captures the minor frustration or awkwardness one might feel when their preferred method of communication (email) is met with an unexpected and less convenient response (phone call). All good fun. Cheers!

Very well articulated. Thank you. One question/comment to consider embedding into the overall program management: Managing change adoption as different from change management that was explained in Development phase. This change adoption management goes a long way in ensuring organization's strategic goals are accomplished in a more meaningful way - IMHO. Thank you !

Very well explained and easy to follow information. Leaving details visible for screenshots but keeping deeper dives reserved for a later time was a great way to stay on track and keep viewers engaged throughout the topical view of Program Management. I have an interview for my first Program Manager role coming up soon, and this video was the most helpful that I have come across in preparing my understanding of the role. Thank you!

the salary leveles mentioned on these jobs is total BS. 40 to 60K? WTF I earned that as a junior project manager
@projectleadershipinstitute2 ай бұрын
The salary range they listed (40k-60k) is definitely on the low end for a program manager role, especially for someone with a lot of experience. Program manager salaries can be all over the place, and it depends on a lot of factors. The same way some CEOs make a fraction of what others do. Location makes a huge difference. Tech companies in big cities are going to pay a lot more than smaller firms in more rural areas. Even within the same country, salaries can wildly fluctuate. There's also the type of company to consider. Some very small firms might offer a lower salary but with the upside of more autonomy and the chance to really grow with the company. It depends on what you're looking for in a role. To get a better idea of what program managers are making in your area, you can check out sites like Glassdoor or Salary.com. Search for "program manager" and filter by your experience level and desired location. That will give you a more realistic picture of the market.
