It was that period of the late 70's that i & many friends were obsessed with Radio Caroline & the Caroline roadshows, almost every record they played was brilliant & Caroline introduced me to some awesome bands that i still love today. I still have my signed black and white photo of Caroline from Nick Richards ( or was it nigel tibbles)?

"More helium" wouldn't have worked if the (aerostat) balloon was rigid (as opposed to expandable). On a physics point, putting more helium into a balloon would only succeed in making it "lighter" (i.e. increasing its lifting force) if that extra helium caused the balloon to _expand_ - thereby displacing more of its surrounding air. Archimedes principle, same as for ships/boats. If a balloon is so robust as to virtually have a fixed size after fully inflating it with helium (e.g. to not much above the atmospheric pressure), then further pumping-in of helium will only _increase_ that gas's density, thereby making the balloon as a whole _heavier_.

Today i listened to Radio Monique 918 it was formerly aboard the MV Ross Revenge in the 80s and has now returned to the airwaves

It has got the beat abd thats because laser 558 was never more than a minute away from music

A major sight from close quarters the lady in red is of course still very much keeping the dream and rock album music alive in 2023

These transmittrs were apparently the medium wave optimod to enable a steady solid signal from tge carrier to radios
