Sir, I m from Nepal. Recently, my 11 year old son has been diagnosed as left kidney PUJ obstruction, through ultrasound and been recommended for CT scan. However, two years ago, another radilogist had called it extra renal pelvis after doing ultrasound. Does CT scan confirm what it is?

Sir. I delivered vaginally on 11 jun 2024. Doctor said this thing happens in vaginally delivery and i will recover in few days. But afterb, 5,6 days when there was no improvement. And in KUB scan there was 660 ml urine left after I went to pee. I am feeling suicidal I dont want this catheter Every doctor is saying the same thing that I'll recover on my own. Is it true?? You can ask your dr to teach cisc, or intermittent catheter by caregiver till your residual urine decrease. You will gradually recover.

@@dr.soumyandey-besturooncol1526 Thank you so much for replying. Seriously didn't expect. Actually... Sir I don't want to look stupid but I am getting suicidal thoughts bcz of this problem. I conceived late but in first attempt. Everything was good Everyone was happy. I delivered vaginally which no one expected. And now my baby is 21 days old and I can't roam around with him bcz have to carry this urine bag. In comments section someone has said his friend from Pakistan is on catheter since 9 months and she delivered vaginally. Sir will I seriously recover??? I have already consulted atleast 12 urologists Everyone is almost giving same answer that I'll recover But when.... Pl reply Will I die??

Thanks a ton for replying. Means a lot. Sir since yesterday I can feel sensation. I was asked to clamp for 3 hours. But the urge to pee was too much that I couldn't clamp for more than two hours Now today after clamping I had to unclamp after 25 mints bcz the urge to pee was there. So does this mean I am recovering???

Hello Sir, thank you for this helpful video. My grandma had severe urine infection after which she couldn't fully empty out her bladder. So the doctors put an indwelling catheter for 15 days. They tried to make her urinate without one, she could empty her bladder little bit but not fully. So rhe doctor asked her to wear a catheter full time and he said most probably this is going to be permanent. She hates the catheter alot. I want to know if there is any chance that she can urinate by herself. Please, please help. We are from Mumbai only.

Sir this is big sonography i am not understanding. .me and my wife is very upsad please help me sir Every thing is ok ya not 😢😢😢, Fetal left kidney measures 2.2 cm in length and shows thin & echogenic renal parenchyma. The left pelvicalyceal system is moderately dilated with dilated and Tortuous left a ureter in its entire course The urinary bladder is distended and thin-walled.

Sir meri beby ka EC rend jach hai Functional size of Right kidney is 5.4 X 3.6 cm approx & functional size of Left kidney is 6.6 X 4.0 cm. approx. • Normal perfusion & tubular uptake (2-3 min.) of Left kidney (Rel. uptake is 46,36 %), with delayed time to peak (TTP-21.85 min) & prolonged intrarenal transit time. Diuretic renogram show prolonged drainage pattern. Apparently normal perfusion & normal cortical uptake (2-3 min.) of Right kidney (Rel. uptake is 53.64 %), with normal time to peak (TTP 2.6 min) and normal intrarenal transit time. Diuretic renogram is of normal excretory pattern. TOTAL ERPF=484.39 ml/min. RIGHT KIDNEY ERPF= 259.84 ml/min. LEFT KIDNEY ERPF = 224.55 ml/min. CONCLUSION: Normal sized Left kidney with preserved cortical function (Rel. uptake is 46.36 %). Diuretic renogram and delayed images show prolonged drainage pattern with pelvicalyectasis suggestive of partial obstruction at PUJ level. Advice Further evaluation/Close follow up. • Normal sized Right kidney with good cortical function (Rel. uptake is 53.64 %) and Advised: Clinical Correlation. overall non

hello sir, i have puj obstruction on both sides, it has deteriorated my kindneys function but because it is a partial obstruction, doctor has advised me to keep monitoring it every year via dtps scan. Can you please suggest what would be the ideal diet for the maintenance to reduce load on kidneys due to partial obstruction ?? Many thanks in advance.

Diet change will not relieve the Puj obstruction. However, a healthy, balanced diet will improve overall health. Since partial obstruction is bilateral in your case, if function on one side is very bad, that side can be rectified laparoscopically earlier... Many times, dtpa renogram may not be representative of the disease severity. Clinical symptoms, parenchyma on sonography, ct or ivp immage along with dtpa renogram will decide whether we should treat a partial obstruction early

Yes, she might recover, if cisc is done 3 to 4 hourly. Constipation is resoved. Adequate dose of bethnechol and alpha blockers must be administered. Anticholinergic drugs stopped or reduced. UDS can predict recovery of bladder function.
