I have 5 of these bins. They are great. But I use a bottomless 5g bucket with a gamma lid in each bin. We live in CA, which has little water, so the buckets help retain moisture at the core to keep the compost cycle going. Saw off the bottom of the bucket and add some holes to the bottom half of the sides for aeration. Also, I'd recommend a brick under each leg to keep the bin level (it's easier to level the bricks than the bin itself!). Lastly, I add cardboard sides to the inside of the bin as a sacrificial barrier to protect the cedar.

Great Idea! I did something similar with galvanized sheet metal flashing in 20" x 50' rolls. you can make 5 beds that are 37.5" diameter and 20" high. Just cut the 50" roll into 10' sections and clamp the ends together to creat 1' of overlap, drill holes and pop rivet this round bed together. Drill from the inside. start right below your top clamp. insert a pop rivet before you drill the next hole. A galvanized steel bed will be stiff enough to stand without any aditional support. It's no different than a flat sheet metal swimming pool. the weight of the soil will stiffen the walls. you can also bend 1" of the top edge over to the inside of the bed every couple of inches all the way around to create a safe and comfortable ledge whch also stiffens the the wall.

They make it look really easy to screw in the wood-screws, but I just bought these corners and I can't get the screws to go in the pre-drilled holes of the metal corners, & will probably have to buy smaller screws.

I have a few of these. I like that they can fold flat for storage. But the tall ones need to be anchored into the ground. This year my husband is going to drive rebar into the ground underneath my raised beds and attach the towers to the rebar with zip ties so that my tall Vertex tomato towers will not blow over in strong winds like they have in the past.

The video makes it look really easy to drill in the screws, but I just tried to fit the screws through the holes in the corners and they do not fit and I cannot screw them in with a regular Phillips screwdriver. I don't know if anyone from Gardeners looks at the comments but if you do, I would like to know if the screws go through once you use a power drill with the screw attachment.

Did you just receive and build them? I did mine a few years ago and had screw issues. Used an Impact Driver. Of course it helped but I was only able to get so many in. Had my Landscaper give it a go. Stripping & just no. I'd get my own screws if I could do it again. The wood had to be so wedged in anyway due to width that it was beyond secure anyway.
