Great video. Glad I found it. Quick question. I have two sets of new ball joints, different manufacturer’s and neither of them fit in a 1 1/8 12 pt socket. Do you think that I could have the wrong size ball joints? I ordered both pairs from amazon. First pair I tried to install using the freeze/heat method and they wouldnt go in so I ordered a second set, different company. Havent tried them yet but the fact that they dont fit in the socket like yours does has me concerened a little bit
@GarageVlogBobАй бұрын
The size of the drive socket isn't all that important. You just need something to drive that ball joint back into place. I used that socket because it fit for what I was doing. If you find a socket that is the same out side diameter as the ball joint you will be all set
@randycrawford2318Ай бұрын
@@GarageVlogBob thanks for the reply. Went and returned the 1 1/8 socket and bought a 1 3/16 socket today. The ball joint I have seemed to fit that size perfect. Going to try and tap it in tomorrow. Hopefully that does the trick. Thanks again for posting your video

Whats up Bob! How you doing? I have an issue with mine keeps leaking out the propeller shaft seal. There's much play side to side and forward backward in my shaft. How far down does your propeller shaft house sit inside the lower unit? Min is like 7/16s and it's super tight. I don't want to strip mine out. I suspect mine housing is not sitting on the inner bearing. I have a video I can sent. Nobody has theys Daddy Kings on youtube except us. kzbin.infoiFtB7FJMQKs?si=0B4VbENNNB5qRVH8

I’ve noticed this as well. Every professional kitchen I’ve ever been had a near glass smooth griddle surfaces. All of these residential griddles have some sort of texture on them. Maybe it’s a price point issue. Perhaps folks are just cooking at way too high of temperatures causing the burning and thus bonding of the food material to the metal surface of the griddle. Chefs and experts alike say that outside of very specific cooking circumstances high heat is never to be used. Medium to medium-high is more than sufficient. High heat promotes food material bonding to the metal surface making extremely difficult to clean.

It's the difference in how the flat top is made. Commercial flat tops are made more by forging thick slabs of steel vs the Blackstone griddles having like a cast iron texture.

What lift model is that and where’d you get it? I need that thing bad.
@GarageVlogBob7 ай бұрын
That's a dirtbike lift stand off ebay or Amazon. They are nice but heavy. Now I use a lift table from harbor freight that is a lot easier to work with. Rolls under machines lifts same height
@Big0veralls7 ай бұрын
@@GarageVlogBob I’m surprised the one for the dirt bike lifted it. Which weight capacity harbor freight lift did you get? I have a Timberwolf that I’m working on but it says it’s 529 pounds in the manual and the lifts I looked at don’t hold that much if I remember correctly.
@GarageVlogBob7 ай бұрын
Currently I have the 500lbs one and it works fine for that machine but struggles on bigger 4x4 machines and I also use it to lift one end of my sxs and it struggles. I wish I purchased the 1000lbs one because I do a lot of heavy atv repairs. I'm not willing to buy the bigger one until my 500lbs finally gives out. 4 years strong. If your not doing big machines you can easily stick with the 500lbs one because it's a Lil lower to the ground witch helps

last question. How bad was it to remove the bearing since you only access one side? What did you use?
