inkscape has at least three ways to draw lines. 11th icon down on the right is bezier line tool, under that (12th) is freehand line and under that (13th) is calligraphy tool I rarely use silhouette studio but merge merges your file into the current tab, open will open it as a new tab. you are doing a lot of work for nothing with the trace - designing in inkscape means you save the file as an SVG, then just open in silhouette studio and you are done - all you need to do is the outset if you want it. oh and it's an optical eye not a laser that reads the reg marks

Your video is great, I just wish someone could do an instruction video on doing print and cut with the "Inkscape-Silhouette" extension for Inkscape.
