As I have seen on other channels you do not state the price per dent. Clearly, you and others do not want to tell individuals what that cost is. Your channel is a untruth.

got some shopping cart damage on my once perfect 2021 honda. I'm taking into my local body shop tomorrow.if I lived in SD I certainly would be to your shop I'm guessing it's a PDR. and if so. I hope they are honest and do indeed use cavity wax behind the door panel . I'll be sure to mention it to the technician. but you never know unless you take a panel off and check. unfortunately not every shop is as honest as yours,and doing the right thing .thank you for your very informative video

@SiouxFallsDentRepair Update: I went to the pdr shop spoke with the owner . mentioned the cavity wax. he never heard of it. and told me it wouldn't be necessary anyway. because he said the sheet metal on these newer cars is Galvanized so if it is scratched with the tools . it wouldn't be a problem with future rust. I'll tell them to leave the door panel off and I'll treat the area myself

The metal moved very nicely and the repair came out great!
@Alexoliveira-ug5mh8 ай бұрын
Yeah. You really think the door is pressurised… Door handle, lock mechanism, window, the list goes on. Now all cars have nice access like the one you are showing us. Sometimes a hole may be necessary. Option 1: Drill a hole and fix the dent for 100 bucks Option 2: Pay 500 bucks to fix a dent and the technician may break/bend something and you end up with noises while you drive. I am against holes but sometimes you need to gauge the pros/cons..
@SiouxFallsDentRepair8 ай бұрын
I understand your thought process here, but these holes are all calculated in the design of the door and the pressure sensor is specifically calibrated for the door, if you go adding more holes or changing them does the sensor know this? No. I am not an engineer but they design vehicles specifically this way for safety, see this link: www.bosch-mobility.com/en/solutions/sensors/peripheral-pressure-sensor/ A skilled technician will not break or bend things when taking apart vehicles and if they do an person with integrity would fix their mistake. You make the statement you are against holes then argue all over the comments of this video and comment on others comments on why a you should drill a hole? That seems contradicting... Is saving money or doing a cheaper repair worth the risk of a injury or death? Absolutely not Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts

Thank you for the informative video! I was wondering, if a tech drilled a hole but then sealed it with butyl and a locking cap, would the pressure situation with the sensor be okay? Sometimes, I believe, the angle/leverage of the hole is more advantageous, for a deep dent on the body line at the bottom of a door for instance. It seems repairing the dent with an access point closer to the area, could help with leverage, and also with ability to see properly while working
@Alexoliveira-ug5mh8 ай бұрын
Mate. Those doors are pressurised at all. There are holes everywhere. Door handle Water drain etc... I don't know why is he talking about holes and airbag pressure sensor.
@SiouxFallsDentRepair8 ай бұрын
That is a great question! Having a leverage and access point can make the repair easier but if you are creating a new point or hole this changes the design and pressure in the door. There is a reason they put these sensors in doors because of the limited room and crumple zones in the side of a vehicle vs the front or back(a person is closer to exterior of the car with just a door between them vs the front(firewall,engine,frame,hood,bumper ect). I am not a engineer but they design cars this way for a reason, safety being the number one item. Here is a link to a popular electronics company to discuss more on this specific sensor I discussed: www.bosch-mobility.com/en/solutions/sensors/peripheral-pressure-sensor/ Thanks for watching!

This is what a body shop in Grand Junction is telling me as well. From your experience: Will the insurance company pay for a new PPF onto the new hood after the paint has cured?
@stephen17744 ай бұрын
It’s better to buy a new panel if you own a pos and don’t care if it goes on the carfax and lowers the value and is not matched exactly and starts to fade in a year.On the other hand if you have a nice vehicle, then this is best.

What I learned was nothing.... You never showed how you removed the crease. I have done body repair work and the crease would have been very hard to remove. So, you either showed a before (where you had a good fender) & made the crease after in order to get work.

I've been doing PDR for 25 years. I drill access holes in door jams and many other hidden areas, as do most PDR Technicians. To remove door panels and glass can cause unnecessary damage and expense to the job. I have never had a complaint form a customer about drilling access holes.

I was wondering what you recommended for something that is from 1995 where the metal is thicker, can you please tell me what you would use? Thank you very much
@SiouxFallsDentRepair Жыл бұрын
Most tools will work on the older metals with no issue, its more so going to come down to which specific tool you need and how is the access to the dented area. I would recommend you contact your local Dent Repair Technician and have them do the repairs this is not something we suggest to try yourself. It'll cost you more in the long run. Thank you for watching and commenting!
@31acruz Жыл бұрын
Fantastic video, you are an artist. Suggestion, you do yourself and your work a disservice when at the end you rotate the "before" to show the "after", it would be way, way, more dramatic if you kept the exact same angle and faded in the "after", rotating special effects not only do make us dizzy but are gimmicks for lesser work, yours is too good for that.
@SiouxFallsDentRepair Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the tip, it is often hard to get the exact same angle cause I sometimes have to move the camera/phone to work or take another call during the repair. I'm working on a system to have something I dont have to move cause I agree it is best to not move it at all. Thank you for watching!
