what's the difference between the first fastball and the last fastball technique? Is it a different pitch? or just another exercise for the same fastball? Thanks, this video was the best one out there so far reviewing the spinner :)

Put off buying one for a couple years and finally caved, now I'm looking at a bunch of videos to see if I can figure out how to loop the hooks correctly.

Good for you for finally gaining a better understanding if internal rotation and adduction in the pitching delivery. The fact that you are finally embracing the reality of palm up and I/R vs. the fantasy of palm down and push the ball, and realizing after all these years how high level pitchers actually throw a softball shows you are adapting. This is very good for the softball pitching community. HOWEVER......Forearm Fire is a joke. Pitchers do NOT snap the elbow straight from 9:00 to deliver ball my dear. Slight elbow bend is maintained through delivery during the internal rotation/adduction/pronation of the high level pitch.

@marcjenkins2081 6 жыл бұрын
Fastpitchnut, you are wrong that you maintain elbow bend through the entire pitch. Go watch Jenny Pinch pitch in slow motion. You may learn a thing or two.

Fastpitchnut M sure you understand a lot of pitching . however, I see many high level pitchers using a palm loaded- out position as they pass from 12 to 9 and from 9 downward for another 10 to 45 degrees, taking them right into snap zone sometimes. Also, last time I observed Rita she emphasized the palm out not palm down, as you think. It did appear that she might have pitched palm down at a previous time, however. I don't teach arm fire myself, as I don't see the point in drilling in a fastball with one style of snap but having to burn in dramatically different style s for movement pitches. I'd be interested in your opinions concerning this area of pitching. [email protected]

@@falcon1534 depends on the pitcher . Body type , how they feel comfortable ect. Bill Hillhouse throws his way and he thinks he is correct . Gerald Muizlaar the us team pitching coach throws a different way (which I prefer and works for me ). No motion is right or wrong . I am sick of people having these narrow minded opinions. Branch out see what works ect . The only one I don't agree with myself is the squaring up of one's hips to the plates or opening up.

@@MeLoNHeAd00 there’s definitely room for style but some things are necessary for all pitchers
