Mix equal parts, ground cloves to ground coffee. The oils in both mixed keep fire going. Burns 15 - 20 minutes. (About the same as incense.) This is about "the spice, cloves". (Not garlic 'cloves'.)🤔 Clove oil used in natural pest control. 😉 (My brother used it to kill fleas. From spray diluted with water. Never hurt, or bothered his 7 cats!)😉

@@outdoorcraftandtech I don't know, who, wrote/said that.. It's the "lighted mixture of ground coffee & ground clove that's a fire hazard because of it's inate flammability. It can be reignited if mixed back up the leftovers, that didn't completely burn up. Unless it's in a glass, metal, or stone recepticle, & not under Adult Supervision, I'd still say " it's a fire hazard due to potential spontaneous combustion." It's because of it's being oil based. When ever I've used it. (the powdered coffee/clove mixture.) It's ALWAYS contained in a "Metal Coffee Can". And lit & maintained under Adult Supervision, up to & after the primary ignition has long after being extinguished.. And, it's not some ordinary plastic coffee can! But a BIG COFFEE CAN! (Bigger than Folgers!!) Then, in a tiny 2" metal relish jar lid, that's turned upside down, then filled with a little 1" pile of coffee & clove mixture, it lights, & is set deep into the bowels of a "really BIG coffee can"! 😉 I don't always promote flameable mixtures as insect repellent.. Infact, I never do! And never, really, have, accept for the "subject of mixing/combining 2 different components (ground clove & ground coffee as an incense for insect control.) I don't have a degree handling explosives like some military veterans I may know. And even they may say it's a flame-able-mixture. And should not be ignited without Responsible Adult Supervision. (Like I'd find camping!) But, anyone would know that..😉

No self respecting woodsman or Outdoorsman would ever just carry a Swiss Army knife alone, it is limited by it’s size and design. It’s fine to have one with you cuz it’s still a valuable piece of kit, but I definitely would pair it with a solid fixed blade and an Axe or Tomahawk to round out the toolkit. Kephart, Nessmuk, and Kochansky swore by that setup.
@outdoorcraftandtech7 ай бұрын
@@TheMoose126 I think it is very nice to go out with all you favorit tools, but sometimes it is fun to experiment with different setups and limiting yourself to just small tools like a SAK. My preferred setup is a fixed knife and a saw instead of an axe. A saw is more energypreserving and a good blade can do small tasks that you would use a hatchet for.
