Thanks! If you just have a cylinder type magnet just take string tie a loop slightly bigger than the magnet on one end. On the other end tie it to something slightly heavy.....for instance a nail/screw. Again you creat a plumb bob with the big loop around your magnet that's stuck on a screw in the wall and your small screw below it. That weight (nail, screw, etc) will pull the string tight giving you a line that the stud should follow if the house is built level and didn't settle much.

Jamie can I obtain all new guts for the Tab S sm-700. I had mine in my back pocket and jumped in my car. So it cracked but still comes alive. I sent it to Samsung they replaced the screen and battery sent it back. I can't use it and that was when they were new. It randomly resets and gets stuck in a loop of just restarting one after another. I want to replace everything because I don't know what cracked.
@sfjamie Жыл бұрын
I never found a store that had all the parts. I got what I needed off of eBay. You could risk buying one that has a cracked screen, but everything else works and swap them into yours. At some point it becomes more expensive to fix than replace. Sorry!

question. Does the headsink come with thermal paste? Or a thermopad? It is 2023, 9 years without change. This makes me wonder.... it's a shame for such a tablet because it's amoled. I would be grateful for the answer as to what is under the headsinks. The drop in performance is natural after such a time. but.

I think you’re fantastic!!!!! I loved your video!! I’m a 67 year old woman. Unfortunately my significant other has been gone for a period of time his mother passed away back east and I live in Nevada. He knows how to do plumbing but he’s not here to help me and I have exactly a problem that you just repaired on this video a leaky sink basket. I’m scared to death to go to the Yellow Pages and call a plumber because I can see the prices are outrageous for what they charge. I had a new sink and garbage disposal installed five years ago so I know the garbage disposal is not old. Just trying to take notes and either my significant other will be back in a few weeks to repair this or I will have to call someone. If you have any suggestions at all I would greatly appreciate it I live in the city of Henderson, Nevada. Again I really find it interesting and if I could do this repair I would attempt it myself but I had back surgery so I won’t be climbing under sinks anytime soon thank you you’re absolutely wonderful!

While there may be a lot of disposal videos on KZbin, I chose yours to get me through this project not just because you gave us a lot of how-to details, but because of your positive approach to this task. I get totally anxious when it's time to dive into something like this, especially plumbing, but your light-hearted delivery and the occasional laughter really put me at ease. I managed to knock this project out no sweat thanks to your step-by-step instructions, so thank you very, very much.

Dyer sheets are pretty bad. You pay for something that will quickly become trash and landfill. Also they create a film over the dryer vent screen. Instead try buying or making wool dryer balls and if you want scent, just sprinkle some essential oil or fragrance on the balls before you start the dryer cycle.
@stansmall19942 жыл бұрын
One additional suggestion would be to clean the dryer vent screen using Dawn dish washing liquid & a small bristle brush to clear the film off the vent screen.
@aligned4good4 жыл бұрын
Thank you. It was very helpful. What die set are you using? Would you recommend it?
@sfjamie4 жыл бұрын
I would try my best to use a name brand. Cheap sets from cheap places may seem good, but usually they aren't made of strong metals and will not hold up which will leave you frustrated and possibly question your ability to do it when in reality it's just a lousy tool. Check the reviews on line. Be sure it has at least 4 out of 5 stars rating and that a lot of people have reviewed it. If it's 4 out of 5 stars but only 3 reviews, i'd stay away from it. I used Kobalt in the video which is Lowe's brand and hasn't let me down yet. But Home Depot and Dewat have a bunch as well so check them out.

Thanks Jamie - Which D/D specifically (brand & model) are you talking about in this video?
@sfjamie4 жыл бұрын
Hi Ryan, Mine is an older 12v Milwaukee Drill Driver. It's pretty beat up now and I cant read the model number anymore. But whatever the current Milwaukee one is fine. Home Depot has it for $129 right now. Drill, charger 2 batteries and tool bag. Ridged, Dewalt are also good and if you really want nice... Festool.
@RyanWhiting14 жыл бұрын
@@sfjamie Right on Jaime. In general, do you prefer Milwaukee to others like Craftsman, DeWalt, Makita, etc? Curious in your experience which brand makes best performing D/D's?

I tried this repair with the plumber's putty, and after a few days, it leaked again. I took it all apart again and put just a new rubber gasket above the sink and a new paper ring and rubber gasket below the sink. Personally, I think this works better than plumber's putty. It is not leaking, and I don't think it will leak anytime soon.

Plumbers putty or silicone? I never thought about silicone. But why silicone though?

The white vinyl transition duct that was on the dryer is flammable as hell! Good thing you replaced it. It's actually best to use semi rigid aluminum, however.
@Blackdragon795 жыл бұрын
Semi rigid is what I have. Much safer. That foil is a fire waiting to happen.

I wouldn't do this if it's just lagging. I would look for videos to clear ram or free up memory maybe. It might just be a messed up app on your tablet. I did this video because the tablet would just die. Good luck!

Thanks! But use a little bit of caution. After I got a new motherboard it still did the same problem just a lot less frequently. There's also the possibility of buying a good unit that has a cracked screen. As long as it worked properly before the screen cracked it should be a good motherboard. Good luck and hope it goes well for you!

@sfjamie6 жыл бұрын
True. I've bought and been given multiple stud finders by companies to try out. The reason I posted this is that most are garbage, give false reads or don't read anything at all. Especially anything in the $10 range. I would put this method up against a $10 stud finder any day. Go with what works for you.
