Would you please tell me about the storage shelves for your binder punches that are shown behind you? I’ve been trying to find a storage solution for them . Thanks!

Sorry for the delay in responding. I saw your comment but was out of town and couldn't weigh it for you. The new photo trimmer is 16 ounces without the scissors housed in the back and 19 ounces with the scissors housed in the back. Hope this helps you decide. I really love the larger workspace and lower profile.

Thank you. I buy the templates but never use. They intimidate me but I keep buying. SMH Lol. But I did use the tropic time for the challenge just to see how I would do. I used non-cm paper because i didn’t want to mess my CM paper up in case I flopped doing it so I did not post my layout but I was very pleased with it. I am not good at fussy cutting….I hate it. lol. Thanks for sharing!

I'm surprised that especially with your "dislike" of recipe templates that you didn't mention how to do this sketch without one. Jumbo CCS templates can be used for the frame, or simple strait cuts also look good. I don't hate the sleeves they come in, I just fold the sticky flap inside. That binder is too pricey for me so I just keep them in a 12x12 storage box. You've done a pretty decent job on the prior sketches, I just feel you missed some opportunities with this one. Caren

@@bouldergirl528 Thank you for your comment. I didn’t like the recipe templates when they first came out but I do love them now! I was very intimidated by them years ago. I use them all the time. The focus of this sketch challenge was to use the recipe template. I showed different ways to use the whole template or just pieces of the template. I also gave tips on how to use the ccs to make them easier. I would love to see how you do this sketch using the recipe template. Everyone’s interpretation will be different and inspire others. That’s why I love scrapbooking and sharing. I love how we all have different ways to organize the same products! Thanks for sharing. You probably gave someone else inspiration!

Very nice. Your video is the 3rd version of the challenge that I have watched. It’s interesting as to how all 3 of you came up with your angles, and you flipped yours as well. Can’t say any one of the 3 is better than the other. I have come to the conclusion that it’s just a matter of preference. As several have commented, this one is a bit more challenging than the others. But that’s why it’s called a challenge. Hope you and your children feel better soon. 🙂❤

Hi Karen. I just purchased the polka dot border maker carrier. Kinda disappointed that it doesn’t hold the punches. I guess I should have researched it more. My question is, can I order the inserts for the black older carrier and will it fit my polka dot one?
@karencornellcmindependenta35515 ай бұрын
When I go to a crop, I only use the top insert and add a few punches to the bottom layer (without the inserts). They do not have an option to purchase the dividers from the original border maker carrier right now. You can purchase the felt inserts that came with the rainbow dot border maker carrier.

The silicone mats are for using repositional tape runner. If you have an intricate border and are using repositional tape, the tape won't stick to the mat. It basically saves your cutting mats from getting all yucky!

And how do you know you have the paper on the little mark on the front when it is only 2 1/2" wide. I keep coming up with a little edge that I have to cut off.
@karencornellcmindependenta3551 Жыл бұрын
Post it note trick!! Before you punch it the first time, add a 3x3 post it note flush to the end of the paper. Then you should be able to see the end of the paper to line up the first punch. Then continue to slide paper, line up with the blue cloud on top, and punch. Repeat until the end. If you feel more comfortable, you can add more post it notes along the strip of paper.

After you punch you slide the paper to the left. Line up the cut cloud paper with the blue cloud image that is on the left side. Repeat this process until all the clouds are punched.
