Kevin. Enjoyed your video of the Ponderosa Pine Ride! Sorry to see you went down and ended up with some significan road rash. It happens to all of us at some point. The roads on this ride looked great and I imagine some of them will be part of The Heywood. Hope you heal up quickly!

Thanks so much, Rob. Fortunately, it was a fairly slow-speed spill and I’m grateful for that. I was just thinking a few days ago that I was kind of overdue for a crash. Yes, much of that route is part of The Heywood.

Nice day to ride it looks like. Love those flat country scenes. Not much flat around here of course until you get out to Central Oregon. I see you still have a bit of snow from your blower on the side of the driveway. I was thinking you must be coming up on close to 35 years in that house. I've been 27 years in mine. Looking forward to warm temps next week here.

It was still a little on the cool side but actually quite nice once I got up to speed and warmth. Any remaining snow should be gone in the next day or two. I'll have been in our home 32 years at the end of May. It's crazy how time is passing by so fast!

No, they don't. My neighbor, who's much more knowledgeable about birds than I'll ever be, told me that the males flew south 2-3 weeks ago. It appears that the females have also departed for warmer climes as well as I've not seen any activity at our feeders for a few days.

Rode this ride yesterday and your video conjures up great memories. Love that you had footage of the big hill in the minimum maintenance road. That was a challenge to climb! Thank you as always for sharing these gravel videos.

All in a day's ride. 🤷🏽‍♂ That's a navigational aid for aircraft. I'm not sure how much longer they'll be around as the airspace system is less reliant on them all the time. That particular one is located in Lakeville and serves as a main point of arrival for aircraft destined for MSP from the south.

Thanks so much, Carl! Yeah, I had some fun putting this one together. I wanted to try and capture the tempo and the scenery at the heart of this kind of ride. The shadows added a fun touch to it.

The gravel around Northfield is generally very good. Occasionally there will be some fresh gravel but it gets worn in before too long.
