These were really amazing cars..they really seriously wanted "to go", plus that 5th gear just set them apart from the competition...those Giulias could easily stay all day at 90mph without stressing the engine (or the occupants)

A classmate (at SDHS) who lived across the street had one exactly like that. His mom bought it for him (new), after he crashed the blue '66 Corvette Convertible she bought (new) for his sixteenth birthday. That might be Bruce's.

My first car was a 1970 thunderbird 4 door. What a beautiful car. Not one car today has the style and beauty that these cars from the past had. The car I bought was 4 years old when I bought it. I paid 2500 for a car that had 48000 miles on it. The car new cost about 5000. Could you imagine buying a 4 year old car today for half the price it was when new???

My folks were ordering a ‘58 Chieftain Catalina coupe in December 1957 and this same Bonney convertible was on the show room floor. It was so beautiful it took my breath away. Also the first time I’d ever seen bucket seats in an American car
