Glad the algorithm threw this on my feed. Cause unlike that previous jackass tryna shove religion through guilt down your throat, ill actually explain some of the shit. The main gist of impending doom js they're, as the lead singer says in a song "Your doomsday preacher" and "this is our church pur worship GORESHIP". This song specifically refers to the end times (the antichrist stuff, the prophecy) and how we as christians know how its gknna end cause weve had it told to us through revelation (future written in the past...) Now the whole a murder paid the price and im a murderer part doesnt necessarily mean the antichrist, while it can be taken that way, its referring to the death of Jesus and how as a people he was murdered for our sins so hence the "I am a murderer wash me clean" hes saying hes responsible for jesus desth by being a sinner so forgive him etc. For real though check out their firdt album

@Makai_Reacts they always had very clear 80s dark wave/synth pop influence in their sound. Their first two albums Violet and nothing and nowhere especially so. They basically did the 80s revival thing before it was cool. They even covered some famous songs from that era.

This song is from 1999. His vocals weren't that good at that time. Since 2008 (with album UROBOROS) his vocals got much more variety and vocal parts have become much more complex and diverse. Specifically this song is one of their simplest, without drastic changes, and incredible moments. As you said, just decent

I went to their tour in November and Mikoto sang opera for a bit in one of the venues because he has classical education and loves it and it sounded absolutely mindblowing. Ama live is like nothing you've heard... I can't even describe it with words. I'm so glad more people are discovering this band because they deserve so much more recognition.
