This is what ive been saying!!! Before skyway existed, SLEX and Osmena used to be bright and vibrant! this flashed my memories back, i was only 6 yrs old during this time and eventually forgot kasi bihira lang kami dumaan dito noon. See how there are even trees planted on the center island! kita ang sky, malinis tignan, hindi masikip at uncomfortable tignan. Now compare this to what we have now! Skyway has done made these highways looking gloomy, dirty, and dystopian! sirang sira na ang ecological balance! While I understand that skyway was made for convenience, but is it really still like that? I dont blame stakeholders of skyway for materializing this project but unsurprisingly metro manila is still damn congested, sa dami dami ng mga road projects na dapat paluwagin ang daloy ng trapiko, mas lalong lumala lang. It does not seem to be working bakit nga ba? kasi sobrang nag focus at pinaboran ng mga leaders ang mga car centric ideas that led to this whole mess. If only we prioritized mass public transportation systems, disseminated commercialization and development in a balanced manner across all potential areas in the Philippines, hindi sana tayo nagsisiksikan sa isang lugar At hindi sana naging ganito katindi ang traffic natin ngayon, the skyway plan couldve been considered to be scrapped kung maayos lang sana lahat. Now its too late and sirang sira na ang ecological balance ng mga areas na nasakupan ng skyway! I dont hate skyway for being there, i hate the fact that we let ourselves ended up where we are right now na kinailangan natin i-sacrifice ang lahat. Super sayang! still hurts to think about but its already there, the only thing we can do now is hope for a mass traffic decongestion and proper dissemination of development in different regions in the philippines para lumuwag luwag ang metro manila kahit paunti unti lang hanggat sa mag drop ang numbers to a normal and tolerable rate. I wish and i hope to see everything turn around before i leave this life!
