Feels a bit like the SYN MG episodes where they chopped the mid-question banter.

I'm quite certain they aired this episode on CBS during the late 1990s after the Pillsbury Bake-Off!

Hopefully when The Barker Era if at all gets to this episode, that they will show this in an uncut version, with the bump shots and contestants taking too long intact.

As of last check on 6-25-24, only 0553D has had the content ID treatment for 1973-74 episodes. TBE did show Nov 17, 1972 though I’m not certain if it had the same edits as the 2000 CBS rerun

@@Rewindium As far as 0115D, they didn't have the 2000 CBS edits - it was uncut as far as I know.

That first segment, children have fear of '___', hard to believe the answers they gave weren't up there, along with fear of clowns, and then to see what the actual answers are. I haven't met too many children who were already afraid of dying, for crying out loud. I thought that was an adult fear. Fear of the dentist/doctor and fear of being left behind/alone should be right up at the top, behind fear of the dark. And later, 'name a person who performed a miracle' - I'm sorry, but God is not a person. And Betty's answer of giving up sugar to lose weight and getting 0 points when the #1 answer was candy/chocolate. Well, the reason people give up eating that to lose weight is because the sugar in it. I've watched a lot of Family Feud over the years, but I must say, this particular episode was the stingiest by those controlling the point awarding. They were VERY narrow-focused on the answers.

With the six IUFBs and six Pricing Games won, TPIR gave away on this episode $26,826 in cash and prizes. Add to that Caryl's showcase win, and that comes to a grand total of $30,510.

Hole in One was among the seven new pricing games on the sixth syndicated season. And the late Robert Barker's hosting debut. It'll be nearly a year before the wheel gets its present enhancement.

It’ll be another decade before Hole in One ⛳️ got its current set. What were the set designers thinking about when they had a sunflower 🌻 for the $500 sign? They had replaced the sunflower with a blue, purple and pink sunflower sign around 1980, then with the current gold pennant $500 sign in 1981.

Sherri was stunning. Also, that tall college student had at least two opportunities to get up on stage with a simple $1 bid. I hope he overcame the event and found a career in the film or theater industries.

This was the one where Ray Combs walked off the set and just drove home without letting them know and I can't blame him. Rest in peace Ray Combs you were definitely going through a lot. Losing your job can't find any work eventually fighting with and losing your wife that would be too much for a lot of men to bear. I am holding up but only because I have grandkids.

My favorite episode was when 6 people were on stage. 3 teams. They used charades to get their partner to guess what item was behind them. It went fine until a teen got done on his hands and knees. He lifted one leg. A fire hydrant.
