The Buick they were playing for usually is over $5000 on the nighttime show compared to being $4000 on this daytime episode
@meyerj752 күн бұрын
The daytime version doesn't get that much airplay as the nighttime version did as those that are familiar with the latter may find it hard to believe that the big deals really did exist in the $1500 - 5000 range as opposed to $7000 - $15,000.

13:01 you can see the puppy jumping down from the chair of the dinette set at the beginning of Race Game. I guess Holly loved it so much, she couldn't let it go even during the pricing game.

The Purina Lovin' Spoonfuls cat food ad at 8:28 features then Mary Tyler Moore Show semi-regular and frequent game show celebrity guest Joyce Bulifant. I met her at the Quiz Show Expo in June this year; so friendly. She has a book titled "My Four Hollywood Husbands." At 24:33 is a Pillsbury ad with Father Mulcahy from M*A*S*H - William Christopher.

Same with you. I love this version too, and wished ABC kept it like how CBS chose to keep the color Password episodes. Not to mention, CBS would start archiving pretty much all their game shows later that year, so it's really stupid how ABC didn't keep Password!

TBF, Until ABC experience their first major successes later on in the 70s, the network was trying to save a buck wherever they can (up to and including Tape wiping). It's unfortunate, but it was common
@TrickyMario76546 күн бұрын
@@PIXPromosMore Even NBC were still wiping at this stage. It seems so weird that they didn't have more foresight at the time.

I wasn’t even born the year of the episode, but I watched Price is right from the year. I really started loving it from 77 and to present. So I think I was three years old when I started really liking it and the sound quality is different, so it makes me think of old times. I’m totally blind, so, I hear that stuff😊 12:07

Having not seen this show before, I didn't know what to expect. But it's really not good to watch one of the contestants just stand around and do nothing, except when both are struggling with geography. The bonus round being one push of a button is quite lame. And I've never liked it when a match runs across multiple episodes. I much prefer it when a match is self-contained in one episode and the champ returns in the next one. I can see why people didn't watch this much. Joanne Worley, however, was electric.
