I’d like to add there is a washer between the spring and filter that often sticks to the old filter and gets thrown out. Honda part number 15414-300-000. Thanks for the torque specs and great video!

how do you plan to get into the crawl space?
@daveosland3199Ай бұрын
Good question! At the rear of the foundation, in a taller area of the forms, a "block out" area in the forms, 24" wide x 18" high, is made, where the concrete is not allowed to fill, providing an access portal. Without that, a access hole would have to be formed in the subfloor framing.- Dave

I like this brand. I want a flail mower. If it could mow ditch banks I would buy it. The FM 96H ditch bank mower? A FM 108 H ditch bank mower would be even better for my orchard. My bush hog cuts 3 inch saplings all day long and has been doing it since 1999.

I have a hydraulic adjustment to pitch an angle on my unit, so as to put a 15 degree pitch on the mower, but nothing that you would get on a mower specifically designed for ditches. This unit will grind 2" brush. Dave

Not actually watching you lay it out, review if you're using inside or outside diameters of the pipe being laid out. An excellent resource on pipe and sheetmetal layout is "Sheet Metal" by Leo Meyer- Dave
@Harry-ey2tfАй бұрын
I don't know what I'm missing but I'm following your tutorial to the T using smaller pipes and in the end it comes out dramatically wrong every time no matter how many times i try it, even with different diameter pipes.... Anyone please help...

Terrible layout...never should've had that little sliver along the wall. The tile along the tub should've been a little smaller, allowing the ones along the wall to be wider.
@isaiahlynch41133 ай бұрын
They had us grind it lol this looks so much easier
@daveosland31992 ай бұрын
That's a lot of grinding! You still need to grind, but this reduces time. Dave

Just flip the blade around so the unused side engages. When it's dull, you can sharpen both sides at the same time you take 'em off. I didn't see any jackstands under that mower you were UNDER!
@daveosland31993 ай бұрын
These blades only have 1 cutting edge- "can't be flipped around" No jackstand- A bolt is inserted in the side holes, preventing the unit to drop... Dave

Why does it look like you're giving it a flat grind instead of angled?
@richardt63 ай бұрын
I think because the actual angle is not very narrow ? so it's not sharp like a knife with a very tapered blade, it's a-bit-less-than-flat but with a well-defined edge. That would make the resulting edge a lot stronger than a fine taper, and given what flail mowers go through, strength is very important !

Hi- With some basic fabrication skills, I bet any little quad can be set up to pull a littles trailer- Dave
@Ajaxaxxess4 ай бұрын
I wouldnt rejet it from the Honda factory unless you modify intake or exhaust. Older carbs id run through a ultrasonic cleaner to bring it back to oem. vs jetting it.
@daveosland31993 ай бұрын
Having owned dozens of modified dirt bikes and quads, the minor change from a #38 to 40 is a small change, not worthy of any other mods. The #38 jet was clean. The#40 made all the difference in the world. Unfortunately, to meet emmisions, the factory had to set up the quad super lean.

This video is an incorrect and an inaccurate technique. The true lengths should be transferred to the right hand side by taking them perpendicular to the centre line.

Would a flail mower be effective in clearing/tilling weeds in a sandy horse arena? The sand is usually around 3-4” deep.

hello, after you put the mold in the kiln - where does the wax melt off to?
@daveosland31994 ай бұрын
Excuse the late reply. Good question! The high temp, 1300 degrees f., basically vaporizes the wax and must be done in a ventilated setting, as in a open shop.
