I just bought a large used flail mower, its a beast. You can buy parts at Flail-Master in Murfreesboro, TN. They are local for me, but ship all over. Great prices, nice people. Its a small outfit, and I love supporting this type of business. I'm not affiliated in any way, just a customer.

CLEAN the tongue & grooves well. The author may have lived in a home that wasn’t that dirty but mine had a lot of dirt in the crevices, and wood floors were also painted over so paint got stuck onto dirt. It took me a couple days to scrape clean the tongues and grooves of 58 floor planks just in one room. This was a big part of the job. What you will also run into is Wood Floor planks that have taken on a “shape” from where they sat, they may be bowed up or down, and fussy to get onto the tongue and of the other planks of wood flooring. To get them to fit, you can use a “sacrifice” piece of wood floor that you hit with a hammer. Don’t hit the floor you are installing with a hammer directly. hit the sacrifice Wood Floor that you fit along the tongue of the plank you are trying to squeeze onto the previous plank. You can also use a 2 x 4, but careful not to damage the tongue of the plank u r installing.

Good question! At the rear of the foundation, in a taller area of the forms, a "block out" area in the forms, 24" wide x 18" high, is made, where the concrete is not allowed to fill, providing an access portal. Without that, a access hole would have to be formed in the subfloor framing.- Dave

I like this brand. I want a flail mower. If it could mow ditch banks I would buy it. The FM 96H ditch bank mower? A FM 108 H ditch bank mower would be even better for my orchard. My bush hog cuts 3 inch saplings all day long and has been doing it since 1999.

Terrible layout...never should've had that little sliver along the wall. The tile along the tub should've been a little smaller, allowing the ones along the wall to be wider.

Just flip the blade around so the unused side engages. When it's dull, you can sharpen both sides at the same time you take 'em off. I didn't see any jackstands under that mower you were UNDER!
@daveosland3199
@daveosland3199 4 ай бұрын
These blades only have 1 cutting edge- "can't be flipped around" No jackstand- A bolt is inserted in the side holes, preventing the unit to drop... Dave

Why does it look like you're giving it a flat grind instead of angled?
@richardt6
@richardt6 4 ай бұрын
I think because the actual angle is not very narrow ? so it's not sharp like a knife with a very tapered blade, it's a-bit-less-than-flat but with a well-defined edge. That would make the resulting edge a lot stronger than a fine taper, and given what flail mowers go through, strength is very important !

@Ajaxaxxess

I wouldnt rejet it from the Honda factory unless you modify intake or exhaust. Older carbs id run through a ultrasonic cleaner to bring it back to oem. vs jetting it.
@daveosland3199
@daveosland3199 5 ай бұрын
Having owned dozens of modified dirt bikes and quads, the minor change from a #38 to 40 is a small change, not worthy of any other mods. The #38 jet was clean. The#40 made all the difference in the world. Unfortunately, to meet emmisions, the factory had to set up the quad super lean.
