Many thanks for uploading this video. Long time ago, was a very nice USA with Country Cocktail - wish there were more clips of us in the USA. Many thanks!!! Best wishes, Dennis Schut - guitrar, lead vocals. The others were Eduard Kristufek on mandolin, Pavel Kristufek on Banjo and Jarda Chmel on Bass.

This is the life I have been given These are the seasons of my time And I am seeking out the light According to design I’ve weathered storms I cannot count To make this world my home In a place where small and twisted things Can split the hardest stone In one like me you might not see How I have managed to exist A fragile crooked rack of limbs In terrain as rough as this But to those who take their chances here Experience has shown That sometimes small and twisted things Can split the hardest stone So shed no tears of pity here Spin no tales of tragic grace Just let it be enough that life Is blooming in this rocky place It is the proof that seeds will grow Wherever they are sown And that sometimes small and twisted things Can split the hardest stone

These two brilliant musicians should be better known than they are. Tracy Grammer is getting to be much better known, fortunately, after the tragic death of Carter. Dave Carter, in my opinion, a genius songwriter. Then on the other side of the scale, there's Taylor Swift who walks around strutting with her skimpy outfits, wiggles her ass at the audience, and sings so-so songs which she shares credit with other songwriters, and she gets on many magazine covers and makes millions. She's music for the masses, but if you want to hear great singing and songwriting, listen to Grammer and Carter.

My Dad used to sing this song for all us kids and grandkids. He'd substitute our names for Casey and make it our local corner store. We all absolutely loved it! This is my first time hearing the original version. 😊

I've never been able to dance. But I hope when I see my dear one again (where the soul never does, of course), we will be granted the grace of your old lovers (and to hear you play it again. Thank you.

My name is Christopher Nagy. Jill Rosemarie Unger was my my wiccan wife and the live of my life. I am so sorry to have to say, Jill passed away last week. I wasn't there, but I have been told that she still had the smile on her face that everyone who knew he loved. She was an amazing woman, talented, beautiful, and left her mark on anyone she met. I will love and miss her for the rest of my life. I love you Jillybean. When we handfasted, you made me promise to love you in this life and the next. I hope your lil witchy ass is right. Because I so want to see you again. Until then, fair winds and calm seas. I love you so much.😢

My goodness, I just stumbled across this; what a delight! I remember first hearing Bryan about 50 years ago, I believe it was on the show "Prairie Home Companion". A genius autoharp player with a style all his own; love it! I'm so glad to see he's still playing; I'd love to see him live again. He's one of a kind....... :-)

Nov. 10, 2023 .... In the beginning of the video, the gentleman speaking on the right is attorney Glenn Opie, Great Bend native and high school classmate of Jack Kilby. Glenn is the man who created the Kilby Memorial Committee and is responsible for the existence of the Kilby Memorial on the courthouse square in Great Bend. I was a friend of Glenn Opie for more than 40 years and he kindly invited me to attend the dedication. Glenn Opie was also the executive director of the 3-time American Legion National Champion Argonne Rebels Drum & Bugle Corps of Great Bend. Glenn was one of the founding members of Drum Corps International and is remembered in the DCI Hall Of Fame. You can find videos of the Argonne Rebels elsewhere on KZbin. God bless the memory of Glenn Opie. He is greatly missed by all of us.
