You can use any floor you like: stone floor, wood floor, straw or even crystal. It all just depends on how you want to decorate your farm. I used stone floor om that video (crafting recipe from Robin's shop) just to make it easier to see the sprinklers. Hope that helps and good luck with your farm!

Hi, I've noticed that vegetables that are don't sell for much gold don't get any points - just neutral. Tomato juice would get you points though, just not the tomato itself, even if high quality. However, something more expensive such as summer squash, kale or amaranth will get you points for sure!

Hi. That could be because you haven't met the Wizard yet. That will happen when you visit the Community Center and investigate inside. Also, check your friendship tab and scroll down the list. Any villager with question marks will be the one you missed talking to. Maybe it's a glitch? If you talk to everyone again, and no question marks are left and the quest is still not fulfilled, you might have to start over. :( Good luck!

Hi! Thankfully, nothing bad happens. Meeting everyone on the first day is just a strategy to progress the game much faster. Gold is scarce in the first week, so meeting everyone will unlock the next quest to give someone a gift. Once you give someone a gift, you get a 100 gold. So if you don't meet everyone on day one, no worries, you can meet the rest on the next day. :)

Hi! Parsnips will only give a neutral response, sadly. Even if you add a gold star parsnip, it won't affect the friendship score. Maybe it's because it's a common veggie? Hot peppers, corn, garlic and blueberries are also ones that don't give any friendship points. On the other hand, parsnip juice (once you have a keg) gives a "good" response, and 60 friendship points.

Hi! Gus's visits to the Beach Resort are random. It's always a surprise when he shows up. However, I do know that he never visits during any festivals; on those days, he stays in Pelican Town. :)

Yes, I play on PC 1.6 and the legendary II fish were added in 1.5 for PC. I'm not sure if the 1.5 on switch has it. :(

I haven't played this game in a little while, but when I was, no, they can't be tamed. Only the young ones can be tamed to become pets. Although if we could, it would be amazing.

Hi, thanks for your post! Short answer to your question, we don't have conversations with NPCs like in some other games. However, the long answer is that the villagers here do give clues about their life stories, favorite foods and items, and engage in random daily small talk. As you befriend the villagers of Pelican Town by talking to them each week and giving them gifts they like or love (parsnips, peppers and mayo are a good bet), they will become friendlier, share more personal tidbits, and even send you gifts and recipes to your mailbox. Deepening these friendships can lead to special cut-scenes called "heart events" and the chance of marriage with one of the eligible villagers. So, even though it's mostly one-sided, you will get everything from awkward small talk to hilarious insights about their daily lives which adds to the quirky fun of the game.

Just looks. I was playing around with spare decorations 🙂 I have heard other players mention that paths inside the farm speed up the running by a tiny bit. But for outside the farm, it's for esthetics only. 🙂

Hi! You can try checking if Krobus has any on Saturdays. Also, the trader in Calico trades one spicy eel for one ruby. I haven't had much luck finding them at the saloon on any day sadly... Funny thing is, fighting the serpents in the skull caverns makes them drop spicy eel a lot. It's like the more you fight them, the more food they drop. In spring/fall, you could also fish eels in the ocean on a rainy day, and cook them with hot peppers to make it yourself. Good luck!
