how are you gonna do a review and not read the manufacturers instructions my friend? you're supposed to fill those things about 1/2 way with water first. for multiple reasons. 1: it makes cleaning out paint much easier 2: it adds more weight so it's more stable when you jam your weapon in there one handed. 3: and on your particular model, the water needs to come up just past that hanging lip inside, that makes the fumes go through the water before the air is released... like a waterbong.

Notice the difference in the needle shape from other brands? The paint flows differently with this brush and at times you have to modify your thinning, depending on the type of paint. You get more paint with less trigger pull due to the needle shape. Your pressure will also differ from other airbrushes because of this. So may people review these without being aware of any of these differences and criticize the airbrush when it's their lack of experience and or knowledge that is the issue. That was part of the issue with the sudden burst of paint with the .66mm, along with being too thin. Will admit, though, you gave it a much more even handed review than others have.
@eugenemcniel7622 Жыл бұрын
Have you figured out what the best pressure is for each size needle? I get the size 3 dialed in but I can’t seem to get the smaller needle set with the right air PSI.
@swdw973 Жыл бұрын
@@eugenemcniel7622 I have the VLS and the Vision and the Vision has the 0.2mm size, so not sure. Have you tried adjusting the thinning for the smaller needle? And what kind of paint are you spraying?
@eugenemcniel7622 Жыл бұрын
@@swdw973 I'm using acrylic citadel paints. I tried thinning it more but then it is to thin and is really wet when it hits the model and just runs and pools. But if I keep it closer to what I use on the size 3mm then it tip dries so much I barely get to start and have to keep cleaning the needle tip. So was thinking I needed to change pressure between the needle sizes
@swdw973 Жыл бұрын
@@eugenemcniel7622 I always change pressure for needle sizes and for different paint types Acrylic, enamel, metal flake). I know some people have reported, depending on the paint that they've pushed paint through a Talon with fairly low pressures and one person pushed ink through successfully at only 5 psi! But Paasche doesn't ever mention going that low. If tip dry is an issue have you tried either a flow improver or a retarder in the paint?
@eugenemcniel7622 Жыл бұрын
@@swdw973 yeah I use flow improver and I think it was just a bad batch of white primer I got because the black with the 3 mm needle is working fine and the smaller needle with thinned paint is working good. I guess Pasche says to keep the PSI between 30-50 for best atomization but that seems real high to me.

THE best airbrush money can buy. But the guy using it here doesn't know how to use it. Grafo's fixed double action technology is SO MUCH easier to controle than a double action airbrush that i boggles the mind why this is not the most popular airbrush in this world.

hey , i am confused in between infinity and grafo , since you reviewd both of them ,can you please share your thoughts . I really like the trigger system in grafo , but on the other hand infinity got the versitility. I have other brushes for non detail work eg, TRN2 0.5MM, And sparmax gp850 .
@OtakuonabudgetBlogspotPage2 жыл бұрын
Welcome to the channel! I'd say the grafo is more for detail work and illustrators because of the very small cup (clear line of site down the length of the brush), but if you are already confident with your trigger control, the infinity is also great for fine detail and excellent all around.

Price is nothing, you can easily spot a professional intended use tool from a newbie beginner one and this needle out design is the proof of that. This will scare newbies pretending to be experienced in seconds flat, claiming the needle can be easily damaged, which it can if your a total klutz. Great kit if you get the full set with all 3 needle/nozzle types. Line testing this is pointless as it comes with a .5mm setup and the .7mm or the .3mm extra sets you can buy are all intended for heavier media and to be used for coverage not detail. With the .3 setup you can get pretty good results on miniatures and some blending/fading but this Airbrush was designed for General or Heavy duty painting larger areas quickly. Great tool for the price.

My only complaint about the Talon, is the trigger, it seems it can jump off the top of the air valve stem, other then that, I Truly Love my Paasche Airbrush’s. 1 year later, I had the tension rod plate upside down, the plate that rides the trigger, has a short and long side, I had the short side facing up, the long side should face up, my issue not the Talons issue!
