Very cool instrument Dale. I purchased a used Republic resonator yesterday and it has the palm trees graphics also, but it was listed as a triolian and looks like 12 fret, different headstock too. Do you know if and when Republic made this as a triolian? Curious because it's a used instrument and possibly listed wrong as triolian, maybe a duolian. Is there a visual difference, that I can see when it is delivered?

I also have a semi-hollow ASAT Classic, and for that’s the ideal tone recipe. I am trying to become a chord melody jazz player and it allows me to somehow channel both Ed Bickert and Grant Green in terms of timbre. Ability… that’s a different story. Leo somehow combined every single coil pickup with the MFD, and I do think the semi-hollow construction brings some extra sauce to the table. I barely think about other guitars now.

@@DLawrenceMarketing … I assume you’re going to do some slide guitar on it. 13s really sound good on the wood body Gretsch spider bridge guitars. @@DLawrenceMarketing … I use a 14-59 set on a thick-neck Tricone, and when I do, I tune it down to Open C chord. I always buy packs of 16s for my number one string on any of the guitars, and I often use 12s, replacing only the first string. I’ve always liked the snappy lead guitar kind of sound playing through fender amplifiers. I feel better with a little bit lighter set.

@@cesarcastillo7129 … well, this is going to be quite a weird answer. It’s a surf song that I wrote, and I am from Wisconsin. There is one surfing place out on big Lake Michigan with sometimes 3 to 4 foot waves. The surfers in the area go out there in wetsuits because of the cold and are really, die hard surfers. The town is Sheboygan, Wisconsin and the title of my song is “Surfin’ Sheboygan”.
