Fourth Wing was riveting, attention grabbing and had a lot of emotional rollercoasters. At times, it is so intense that I needed to take a break from it (in a good way). It got at your heart. But Fireborne, was so different... it was a slow burn, that slowly born into your mind until you realized it was embedded in you. In reading Fourth Wing, it was enjoyable, but once I was done, I didn't really think much about it. But with Fireborne, after finishing, I still couldn't put it away... I kept/keep thinking about it. Fourth Wing burns bright, but Fireborne burns slow. Two very different styles for sure with different strengths. and fun fact the author of Fireborne was a political science major at Princeton... so you could see why it was nuanced.

Couldn’t agree more with Project Hail Mary, that book is amazing. I felt like I lost a part of my soul when it ended.

I cant wait for "The Wordless Book." The blurb sounds exciting and creepy. His artwork is neat. Not really sure of the release date though but I'm keeping my eye out.

You had a bodyguard right over your shoulder the entire time 😸😆 what a great dog! Your inclusion of self-published authors is rare and MUCH appreciated and to top it off you treat them critically, as you clearly have faith that they can measure up to corporate-published books in all ways. A most excellent video and kindly make more of them!

This is part of why I started annotating my books! When I read a long trilogy or series I need to annotate names, locations & important events, especially if I don’t read all the books back to back

I never even knew Fireborne had any hype behind it. I just saw it at the library and thought it might be good but I had to dnf at 25%. I was just so dreadfully bored with the characters and world building. It got to the point where I was like I’d rather do anything else than pick that book up again and hope it gets better before 50%
