What's done to reverse the gearing? Is the engine ran backwards? Or?

I would love to see how its done, I read somewhere that the ring gear in the transmission is reversed allowing the forward gears going reverse, I remember seeing one of these with a mower deck in the front.

Ford sold the C series as an incomplete vehicle for body companies to decide what it would become. Could have just as easily become a Leach garbage truck

Good day Boy nice video.. I was surprize when you took off in high gear. A allis dealer here in Ont. done that to a D-15. But I heard that they just change crown gear on other side. How did you get 4 backwards gears. Thanks
