This Opera mocks the plight of man aspiring for spiritual, intellectual and emotional growth through ridiculing the outstanding legacy of Socrates. The funny thing is that this composer will in turn be mocked as the undiscovered writings of Socrates will eventually see light of day, to assist humankind in its quest for evolution! The cycle of life! 🤣😁 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georg_Philipp_Telemann & en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socrates.

Bellissima. False history, that Salieri in "Falstaff" relied on "The Marriage of Figaro" Mozart. He relied André Grétr's - "L’Amant jaloux" , 1778.; Joseph Schuster - "Il Marito Indolente", 1782.; Giovanni Paisiello - "Barber of Seville" 1782. - These 4 operas are plagiarized by Mozart in "The Marriage of Figaro " 1786.! And most importantly, for the history of music and ideas: the complicated finale of the first act of Sarti's opera also served as a model for the finale of the last act of Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro. Unfortunately, there is no Sarti opera on the Internet. By the way, the duel in 1786. Salieri versus Mozart - let's remember - Who won? Emperor Joseph II, who liked to organize competitions between composers and operas, commissioned one-act comic operas on the same theme: "theatrical backstage" - by: Salieri and Mozart. Mozart to the German libretto by Stefani - "Der Schauspiel Director" KV 486, and Salieri to the Italian libretto by Casti - "Prima la musica e poi le parole". Both operas were presented to the public in Schönbrunn on February 7, 1786. Salieri's work won and proved the superiority of buffo opera(!)

Extraordinary. Excellently performed. How is it possible that these are not well-known arias? Why are they not performed?
