Nice tip. Unfortunately it's a lot more complicated when you import an omf from the editor. It won't have a "mother" file which you can replace. It will create unique clips for each edit, L and R (not named such, but just "01" or "02" etc.), so it's even more inconvenient to force relink than to just rebuild by hand

Hi! Thanks for the video, I tried now the whole process, but it didn't work out for me. After replacing (the previews) with the renamed new files, and reopening the session, Pro Tools (2018.4) just can't find the files and the Relinking Window pops up. Do you have any recommendations or considerations I may did wrong? Manually relinking is not possible. Thank you so much! Mabye has it sth to do with multiple mono? My session is interleaved anyways, so also the watermarked files are not split... Paddy

Yes, I'm curious as to why you wouldn't just do it the way Dave suggest.... Only thing that comes to mind is to keep group outs discrete if needed? I suspect though, if you don't need to worry about your subgroups for a given application I keeping pan centered would be an easier route?

You can of course use the stereo channels on this desk and leave the pan central.
