This has gone on naturally for eons. Natural, unprocessed crude and wildlife co-exist. You have to go deeper to figure out why human activity harms wildlife like salmon.

Yes. About 30% of the way. It was possible to paddle about 90% or 95% on the way back downstream. I wore diving boots from a surfing wet suit and Tevas to keep my feet warm while wading and protected from the rocks on the river bottom.

How long is the kayak ? And what kind roof rack do you have, and how do you like it? Do you have any more pictures of your kayak on top of Prius? Do you think it could carry an 16 foot kayak ? Thanks

So very helpful. I listened for the whirring noise and was so pleased when it happened for me just like in your video clip. Thank you for the guidance!

If you cycle a lot and drive a small car, it makes sense. The rack on my car rarely isn't already there - so no additional equipment at all. For me, the running kayaking biking swimming camping all kind of come together anyway. I'm looking though for a way to carry my bike over water with the kayak. - maybe something like a simple bike towing raft (whatever that is) ; that's inflated or something 'n towed behind. If it were low profile, it wouldn't catch much wind and should be easy.

clever! I use a rubberized bathmat so that it doesn't slip but I like the bike rack addition!

These filters work very well, we have a strong chlorine taste in our city water system and the taste is completely removed with this filter. here is the link to it in case anyone is interested: amzn.to\11MQRJI

nice rendition. ... the feeling comes thru. I've seen and love the whole ca coast, but ruined by the civil-servant beachmasters, who want more money every time you want to stop for 5 min. in the parking areas everywhere along the coast route. Make them free. Around '72, or so, when I was young, I was driving south around there in my austin america car, and picked up a young woman hitchhiker, who sang songs like this to me the whole way down to san simeon. ... just a fond memory. Thanks.
