12:04 Your friend and chat were definitely cowards here with 0 faith in science 😅 It's the complete opposite of insane to soft reset a shiny Manaphy. If that were insane, and you'd lose the shiny, then WHY are you deleting the save each time instead of resetting? If soft resetting was in any way 'risky' that'd be all you do to hunt Manaphy to begin with xD I'm sure you've since known this for a fact, but resetting would have let you nickname the shiny no problem. If I ever find my shiny Manaphy, I'll be resetting and waiting to re-hatch it until I can do so in the elite 4 or some other cool location. There is absolutely no risk involved in doing so. And of course, congrats on the amazing luck with this spectacular shiny!! :D

So, in the clip with Chansey (and a ton of the other clips) there was an issue with the audio due to me recording on a new device. I recorded over a couple of the clips, but since Chansey is such a big find, I wanted to keep the authenicity of how it was recorded.

great video, im been watching since the gameboy era video, but i do have a question about zygarde. you said that you that you wasn't going for zygarde "complete form", which isnt boxable in pokemon home. however technically you can get 10% aura break zygarde, 10% power construct zygarde, 50% aura break zygarde, and 50% power construct zygarde, since home internally stores them as different forms. this zygarde situnation is the same as the rockruff own tempo and rockruff vital spirit/keen eyes

That's a good eye! I totally misremembered my experiences with Zygarde and its complete form. I could have sworn it was treated as a normal form as you see its complete form in the dynamax adventures in SWSH, at least from what I misremembered. Luckily, I believe it's a fix that can be rectified in the Switch era.

The only ones in the sinnoh games you can capture are the Regi trio. In PalPark you have to "recapture" the Pokemon you move over.

I have all 20 of them, finally. Only over 120 total and 5 shinies. I love Vivillon and I will be constantly be trading them on the Gen 6/Gen 3 remake GTS until it shuts down.

Hope the fans find a way to emulate the servers. I guess you can at least trade over wireless, but not everyone can travel for that. Getting all the secret base flags is gonna become a pain, too

What is that ad at the beginning with the pokemon sprites in the real world? What's it called, or what's it advertising, because I've seen it twice now and don't know where it's from! (Also, for Pal Park, the once-per-day limit only applies to DPPt. If you used HGSS, you could've done it all in one day.)

Why didn't you use HGSS to transfer instead of Platinum? You have unlimited transfers, unlike the once per day.

@Chrozero they aren't cheated. It's just the one you get in game. It just saves so much space on my computer if I use the master ball for the capture on video, then soft reset and catch them in an ultra ball off camera. Especially when the only part of the capture I use is the actual throw of the ball.

Its was sort of a running joke when making this video lol. I only had the one you get in game but I thought it would be funny to at least record every capture by throwing the Master Ball. I just saved before, recorded the shot, then reset to actually capture the Pokemon (Usually with Ultra Balls)

There was GameStop distributions for Celebi but that one is the Winter 2011 distribution with the "WIN2011" Trainer ID. The one I'm referring to is the one with the "GAMESTP" Trainer ID. It's a very small but cool distinction none the less, and it's something that can't be changed like how moves are with HOME.

Amazing video, it's very rare to see someone do an Origin Living Dex. One thing you missed however, generation 5 does have a multi-select feature but it's only in Black 2 and White 2.

This is so cool! I have a gen 1-6 livedex on my pokemon bank, and that took me ages to do! I do want to make a gen 4 livedex for myself at some point, or at the least complete the national dex on my SoulSilver copy.

Props for you doing it in SoulSilver, Johto was so far the hardest to get the dex in because of just how many Kanto pokemon they put in the routes!

Just because the stats are the same doesn't mean the "DVs" or hidden stats are the same. They would be if both pikachu were at like level 50+ but because the Pikachu is at such a low level, it might look like its the right stats its not (I found more than a couple with these stats before I found the shiny). If you have some technical knowledge, people in the community made a patch for yellow to have a shiny indicator! It makes the hunt 10000% easier

Props to not doing it on emulator. I feel that a lot of people fake how much time they really put in by speeding it up or using savestates off screen.

I have roms of the ds pokemon games on my modded 3DS, but I have no way of savestating or speeding up, so it is kinda the same, same thing with the GBA games, and the GB and GBC Virtual Consoles
