Hello. Is the 401 model suitable for home use? I'm thinking about buying it for a conference room to connect it to a projector via Bluetooth, but I see that it is advertised as outdoor use and I don't know if it will work as well indoors.

Hello is your question referring to the blue switch on top of the product? If it's the Product, that one is for adjusting the Treble Bass, but we no longer make that product at this time. If it's the Amplifier, that blue light refers to the feedback from a successful connection. I hope the above answer can help you.

As a residential contractor, I have to say, this is pretty idiotic. It would be easier, and safer (but still not a good idea and against code) to just wire an outlet in a single gang box, plug in the transformer/amp, and hide it in the wall. It's disppointing that no manufacturer, Herdio included, makes an actual hard-wired option, which would be very easy to do. Just offer the transformer with 12 or 14 gauge wire on the line side that can be connected to a standard switch or in a junction box instead of the plug connection.

When I try to connect from phone, I see 'herdio' but it says 'can't connect'. Also tried it with another tablet. It is because it's connected to something else? If yes, how can I find out what it's connected to so I can disconnect it?

If you can't connect it may be connected by someone else, you can check if the blue indicator light of the amplifier or speakers is always on, if it's always on it means Bluetooth has been connected. If you want to disconnect and reconnect, please let me know which model of speaker you purchased and I will solve the problem for you according to your model.

Heyho! Is there a chance, that the new amplifier saves the last settings ? I want to put it into the ceiling and only use it with Bluetooth device. But every time i put it off and on, I need to climb up to it, and push the Volume to Max again, because it starts with half volume... This is only a really simple program thing with an eeprom which saves the last volume value and set it to it again...

Hi, you can check your 2 channel amp again, I just checked the amp there is a button to turn on the TWS, it's right next to the junction, please try again to see if the 4 speakers work together when you turn on the TWS, I hope this helps!

We had an issue where we couldn't connect to our bluetooth speakers. We rebooted the speakers (unplugged/plugged back in). We checked power, supply. The speakers would boot up fine, and make the little sound they make. Blue light was on. Power looked good, even checked it with a multimeter. Totally baffled. There really isn't much that can go wrong with these as they only have a few necessary parts. We could see the speakers on other devices, but we could not connect. The connection would time out. One day, someone was using a tablet that was rarely used that was plugged into the wall, about 15 feet from the speakers. They noticed that this was connected to the Herdio speakers via bluetooth. We turned off the bluetooth connection from this device and after that would were able to connect again from every other device. It turned out that every time we would reboot the speakers, this device would connect first. I was never able to figure out from Herdio how to fix an issue like this. Granted, it was our fault and that is how the bluetooth protocol works. Short of a way to de-authenticate all bluetooth devices trying to connect, I'm not sure how one would get around this. Regardless, I hope this jogs someones memory when they have some strange issue like this.

May I ask if your tablet is an Apple system? If it is, then it will have a problem that if you just disconnect the Bluetooth in the Quick Center, the background changes to white. In reality, Bluetooth is still not turned off and is in standby. You need to go to “Settings |” to turn off Bluetooth completely, so that he will not connect automatically.

We just returned from vacation, good question. For our outdoor passive speakers, the maximum wattage for one speaker is 100 watts for the 401 model, 150 watts for the 501 model, and 200 watts for the 601 model. You can use this information to calculate the number of Herdio outdoor passive speakers your 1000-watt receiver can accommodate. Have a great day!:)

Thank you for your message. The TWS feature of the amp is that you can connect the same model of amp and make the speakers on those 2 amps work together. The buttons are for serve to change the midrange of the tweeter, as well as a crossover for the bass. You can try toggling the switch back and forth to test the sound.
