I've made 5 ornaments so far. The hardest part is the sewing and turning the heart... the fabric gets damaged. I do not like do much the shapes of my hearts 😢
@whyknotstitches7 күн бұрын
Hmm, so sorry to hear this. Have you tried another type of fabric? The fabric should not damage when you turn it over, is it possible that you got a stiff fabric? Send me an email with a quality picture (I need to see details) of your hearts, I'll give you a feedback and tips ;)

Thank you so much for appreciating the way I explain the process, I'm so meticulos when scripting my videos, that sometimes it takes too much time to create them. But I rather keep the quality up than chasing the quantity, and your message feels like a hug to me!

Gorgeous! I’ve seen clovers stitched with the bullion knot but that’s much too hard for me. This is much more my speed, lol!
@whyknotstitches21 күн бұрын
Wonderful! I also find Bulion Knots hard to execute, and it needs so much patience and experience to get them right.

How great!! ❤ I tried to make mine but it went bad because the edges were torn so badly so all the work went wrong. What's the best fabric to use without having the edges get torn so easily?
@whyknotstitches21 күн бұрын
I suppose you've used a fabric that has a low thread count fabric, or linen. The best fabric is a soft cotton. I have marked the links to the best fabric for this project in the PDF files of the pattern, have you found them? The best fabric is the high quality Calico 100% cotton, it must be medium weight and high thread count. Here are a few links where you can find this fabric online. - creatoriq.cc/3YI0QpK - creatoriq.cc/48rgMjk - creatoriq.cc/3UnnXDh You can try Kona cotton as well - creatoriq.cc/3xg4snM I hope it helps!

You can freeze your rice too!👍 I think 1 or 2 days?
@whyknotstitches21 күн бұрын
hmmm! Why freezing the rice?
@mariekelly732520 күн бұрын
@whyknotstitches If you are storing it for long term, it us recommended to freeze it in order to kill the bugs.

@whyknotstitches21 күн бұрын
This particular pattern is not really for a beginner, it can take about 17h if you have some experience. I recommend you to start with an easier pattern, like the one with snowflakes ;)

Yes! It was a good first try! 😂 I learned I must make smaller stitches to sew the front and back together because bits of the fabric poked through after I turned it right side out. So thankful for your videos and new ways of doing stitches. And for the inspiration! Your ornaments are so cute!
@whyknotstitches21 күн бұрын
:)) it is definitely a fine work with those stitches that hold together the back and front of the heart. I'm curious, have you stitched the two pieces of fabric again or accepted the first try out? :D
