Good video! I hope the gold silver ratio will see a big dip. The chart shows slow rises and sudden drops in the ratio. Silver is just more aggressive in highly volatile markets, it catches up when bullish, freefalls when bearish. The downside of Tesla as a software/AI company is their track record and very slow progression. Early 2017 they promised a US coast to coast unassisted drive that would take place still in 2017. We've not seen much more than unassisted commutes in the 7 years (!) since that. The TSLA valuation has since 2016 or so, even before it, been significantly boosted by the self driving promises. It's long priced in, but it's priced in as a monopolist, where in actual fact, there are other companies already doing commercial taxi drives, unassisted. The assist is remote but only for complex situation where the software taps out and needs help. So, one remote driver for many vehicles. Great idea, until communications break down. That's grid lock. With a pedestrian or cyclist trapped under the wheels...the remote driver is still suboptimal in the best of conditions. Tesla aims to of course only make their software work on their own cars, so they can keep a large part of the ride fare. Competing autonomous driving developers only need to calibrate the sensor suit to a given type of (existing) vehicle, and put the car online. Most modern cars have the ability to steer and throttle and brake without humans force needed to be applied. When Tesla takes for instance 40% of a (premium) car's ride fares, other companies can take 20% from simpler cars with aftermarket sensor suits and board computers. Implementation is bound to be very slow, as many jurisdictions will pose hurdles. A child being hit by a self driving taxi will get the press of 1000 children being hit by regular drivers and taxis. If indeed a very low ride price is achieved from local low electricity prices and low maintenance EVs and fair or super competitive ride fares, the competition is not with driven taxis but with public transport. The whole "we so green" narrative falls apart there, and we get 5 or 10 extra Tesla robotaxis on the road in rush hour for ever bus that is still full enough to be needed. Only extra vehicles in rush hour, not less. A bunch of traffic will be coming out of (light)rail as well, with zero reduction in bus traffic, only added vehicles to robo around commuters who can no longer be asked to take public transport. Tesla's products and services from day 1 have been about virtue signaling and establish social class. Don't expect roads to clear up because wealthy people who use a private driver are going to fire their driver and crush their Rolls Royce, to take convenient cute Telsa robotaxis. Life doesn't work that way. It's a posh form of public transport whose main differentiator to a taxi is that you can render the driver unemployed. With taxis, that could be 2 full time workers for one vehicle on the road, a very efficient disemployment deployment...ploy. More people to eat ze bugs and be heppie? If Tesla manages to drop prices on the Cybertruck and crank out a very high volume of them (I'm no so sure, they have tremendous competition in the EV truck space on key specs and price), that could boost revenue and make the revenue to capitalization look a bit healthier. I still think Tesla is one of the car companies that openly ignores what customers want, because feels it knows best, and can let people with 3-car families eat ze bugs if they want them to. Tesla isn't making any cars other than Model Y that are really suited for one-car-families. In Europe, the stationwagon is a mainstay. Young adventurous men and single mothers swear by them. People and stuff to haul and not get subjected to the weather. A taller SUV can do about the same job, but it needs more battery mass and crucially: cost to offer the same driving range, it's like a monocycle vs a road race bike. Tesla could be making wagon versions of Model 3 and Model S and score much better sales...but that would be giving people what they want, and we can't have that. Eat ze bugs, peasants!
