The issue with aew is the same issue with tna back in the day. Trying to compete with wwe. They need to focus on character development and storytelling just as much as matches. They also need to start forcing new names on wrestlers rather than allowing some of them to use their real names that really don’t click that well. They also need to get a set time on a set station because it’s also a lot of people who can’t find it on tv. They also need to stop trying to allow these wrestlers to put on blockbuster matches all the time and let things build up. And the main thing is stop trying to snatch former wwe wrestlers and pushing them when they have good home grown talent that need the spotlight. Also, most of the wrestlers don’t have good theme songs either. Only 5% of their wrestlers have good solid characters and everyone else is basically the same.

Nah just this style of wrestling, I mean submission are a big part of a fight. If I slam you on your head you gonna be knocked out. In what world, would you pose like you’re in episode 40 of mighty morphin power rangers. We can agree to disagree tho, I do appreciate your perspective on the matter. I just don’t like glorified gymnastics in a “fight”. Wrestling is built off the form of wrestling they did for eons, I rather watch them try to emulate that. Or just beat the fuck out of someone.

I’ve seen Micheal perreiera do all sorts of whacky shit flips to get beyond people’s guard all sorts of stuff. so what you’re saying still holds no logic. Just because you can’t see yourself doing something doesn’t mean it’s bad. What they do is entertaining for millions of people. It also takes an insane degree of skill and out of all the flippy dudes Osprey actually tells a decent story during his matches 80% of the time. But yeah the first Osprey vs ricochet match in AEW was always just gna be this because they’re basically the 2 best guys in the world at doing this type of wrestling I wouldn’t be surprised if once ricochet turns heel they have a more matt based affair just to show people that they can also do that.

Also don’t get me wrong I wouldn’t want every single fight if the night to be like this but that’s another things that’s great about aew is you get a little bit of everything you’ll get Osprey vs ricochet in a high flying masterclass and then you’ll have danielson vs okada in a hard hitting technical masterclass.
