I have a ton of this hair that I was using to create buns. Now I can switch it up.😊

This is very good content! Where in Texas are you located? I was watching a vid by @ashdoesmyhair, and I commented how much I absolutely need her in my life RIGHT NOW 😀…I was so disappointed to find out that her location is nowhere near me. She was kind enough to still try to help, and after learning that I’m near Dallas, she referred me to you. Please tell me where you’re located…I recently did a big chop after much damage to my hair, and my ultimate goal is to gain health and to see how lengthy it can get from this point. I’ve never been able to say that I have long hair. 😔🙏🏽

Wow you definitely have to get this removed professionally. I would be so afraid of accidentally cutting my hair. The take down process looks good, I was afraid it would matte up depending on how it was installed.
@SJProtectiveStyles2 ай бұрын
You should definitely take your time, but that’s with any crochet. Your hair is in the braid, ALWAYS cut above the braid, you’ll be fine.

Somewhat, it depends on the curl pattern of the hair and length, but I always layer it like you see in the video.

This looks nice. However, this is not a install video. An install video shows you step by step how to do the technique. I have seen all three of your videos and they are the same as far as teaching how to do the actual installation. People are just learning about this method.
@SJProtectiveStylesАй бұрын
@stanliemurray2085 Thank you! I appreciate the feedback. I typically post 2 videos with each crochet style; an install video (what it looks like once installed) and a review (what it looks like over a 1week+ of wear). I’m not sure what else to title the video to differentiate between the look when it’s first installed, verses a review. I’m open to suggestions you may have? For now, based on your feedback, I will add “not a tutorial” in the hybrid video titles. This technique has been around for at least two years and it was not easy for me to master. I would find it easier to explain in detail to someone who considers themselves a crochet expert, which is not the majority of my audience.

This crochet style is so cute on you 🥰 I love this brand and curl pattern. Freetress brand tangled like crazy 🤪 for me lol… I use fabric softener mixed with water on this hair and I also use Hawaiian silky and it held up very good 😌
@SJProtectiveStyles6 ай бұрын
Freetress Deep Twists was one of my favorites, but it sounds like they may have changed the texture or you had a bad batch? Ah ok, I have only tried a fabric softener soak, does the spray help with tangles?

I recommend trying this hair brand and instead of flexibrods. Define the hair with eco styler. Its a little time consuming but ir literally turns into a more defined curl and it stays that way. It looks just like a strerched wash and go. It will last weeks. The older the better.
@SJProtectiveStyles8 ай бұрын
Great tip. I’ll definitely give it a try.

I love this hair. I have had it in for 3 weeks now. I recommend no longer than a little bit past your shoulders. I used a revlon blow dryer brush to blow it out. I used steam rollers to curl it and it came out so pretty. I got some many compliments. Right now im putting some flexi rods in it. I was styling my hair everyday or every other day.
