Damn man I've been struggling with a eating disorder for over when I was around 6 and I struggle with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, anxiety attacks, depression attacks and I haven't improved because I will not eat and when I did eat I was 135 pounds now im only 90 pounds yes as a 13 go I would love to see Alexa bliss.

I gotta say, I thought Lower Decks was gonna be stupid. Wow, was I wrong! It is funny, the stories are actually good, and all the little references to Trek scattered throughout are brilliant. I. Love. This. Show!

It IS Stupid, and in the best way possible. I love how it has a coherent storyline while poking fun at all the inconsistencies, logic gaps and plot holes throughout all of the Star Trek series'. It's the most serious show at not taking itself seriously that I've seen and it's my favorite.

Lower Decks is more than I expected it to be. Mariner, Boimler, and Rutherford are brilliant but Tendi is my favorite followed by Peanut Hamper.

While that’s true, Lower Decks isn’t. It parodies Star Trek tropes so well because the writers and crew love Star Trek enough. It’s what the other new Trek shows lack. A real love for Star Trek.

@@raajaa559 Exactly. Alex Kurtzman just panders to ST fans, without really caring about the material. He thinks he just needs to throw in enough references to older (and better) Star Trek, and fans will like it. McMahon OTOH actually is a Star Trek fan, and it shows.

@@youtubeaccount697 _Picard_ 1st season brought together beloved actors from previous shows ... and walked them through a tired and tiring "end of an era" story. (I gave up on 2nd season after I saw Q and alternate history. So, ep 1, basically.) Whether shows have Trek-nature* or not depends entirely on who's actually directing and writing: _Lower Decks_ does in its irreverent self-parodying way, _Strange New Worlds_ has maybe a little too much, about half of _Discovery_ does (seasons 2 and 4, mainly), _Prodigy_ does in a _Voyager_-ish** way. So the lesson here is ignore the overhyped live action Trek series and watch the cartoons. (And SNW, for that TOS hit.) * Like Buddha-nature, but with Trek. ** Not to disparage _Voyager_ , even if it's not a favorite. I meant that it mainly takes place outside the Federation. (After ep. 14 the Federation is an inadvertent antagonist, which is interesting.)

That's the first time Lower Decks had a real convention experience, right? I suspected that the love for the show would be big once the time is there is meet at a convention again.
