I find them saying that 5g is satellite served... also those over the horizon radar and communication towers you see are shortwave sources and probably other 6"-dozen meters lengths not little 4" 2.4 or 1" 5G. ...also 3G Obama phones connect to only one site ever perhaps If you put in that second sim they all want....

Will i be able to receive calls on my cellphone if my VOLTE is switched on but my data/wifi is switched off?
@CommsbriefLimitedOfficial16 күн бұрын
@@angieng71 That is a GREAT question. In short, yes you will be able to receive and make calls on VoLTE even if mobile data and WiFi are off. That’s because the signalling continues for voice & text which are also transmitted/received on packet switched technology BUT in a more dedicated way so not using mobile data like the Internet does. For VOLTE there are very strict service quality requirements so mobile networks make sure to deliver it as a higher priority to ensure that quality level. It uses the IMS platform for voice calls and SMS which makes this happen.

Can u slow down speed to .5? We have a language diff. And thick accent i cannot quite understand.
@CommsbriefLimitedOfficial22 күн бұрын
Oh I wish that was possible. I know what you mean, it would be great to be able to slow some people down. If you really need to specifically deal with one particular message, you could upload that message as an audio file somewhere to listen at a slow rate. KZbin has that feature so if you upload that audio as a private KZbin video (so that it’s only available to you :)), you can play that at 0.5.

hey there. thanks for the nice input. can you explain the difference between 5g New Radio and 5G Next-Generation Radio Access Network i'm a little confused about that, not getting it.
@CommsbriefLimitedOfficial22 күн бұрын
5G New Radio is the name of the technology so overall 5G technology including the full network (of course appreciating the intricacies around standalone and non standalone). NG- RAN is just the 5G radio network specifically. Check out the 5G overview part 2 (I think) which dives into the architecture. That’ll highlight the overall 5G NR as well as the 5G radio and core networks.

Why does 3g need to be shut down? Is it jot able to stay up, costs absorbed by 4g 5g network so to speak
@CommsbriefLimitedOfficialАй бұрын
You’re making a good point. In fact, 3G was providing a decent fallback option for 4G and 5G. But given the data speeds of 4G & 5G and the move to IP based voice, 3G isn’t adding a lot of unique value, just a back up. Same for 2G also, but 2G still provides IoT services like smart meters etc. The beauty of 5G networks is that they can work with all kinds of frequencies, low, mid and high so they can technically replace all earlier technologies when they are mature. So that’s why the gradual phasing out of earlier networks like 2G and 3G makes sense so that these resources can be used for the future 5G networks.

Seriously? There is still 2G in the U.K and U.S.A???? Here in Australia we lost that network years ago! Next in line for us here is the 3G that will be at the end of October no one here is sure just how it will go when they turn it off but there will probably be many other devices affected will just have to wait and see.

Tesco mobile has bad internet connection on hspa but it may issues with O2s switch over. Im using a Samsung A55 and it keeps freezing on hspa but its fine on 4g and 5g.
@CommsbriefLimitedOfficial2 ай бұрын
@@shaunigothictv1003 Sorry to hear that. While HSPA is technically capable, the performance depends on how many people are being simultaneously served by the same channels that are serving you. So it all boils down to the utilisation of the available capacity (bandwidth). In real life deployments today, anything 3G is unlikely to give you a decent internet connection. But still better than 2G of course. 4G and 5G are in a different league compared to 3G. So with 3G, it’s not your phone, it’s the network that is slowing you down because the output of your phone is limited by the input it receives from the network.

I'm on Rogers, in Canada. Both 2G & 3G are gone from 1.9 GHz, but are still on 850 MHz. As far as I know, 3G is supposed to be dropped entirely in Dec. 2025, but no date yet for shutting down 2G. As for 2G using lower frequencies, 4G & 5G both use 600 MHz on Rogers and 4G is also on 700 MHz. The 1.9 GHz band is now 4G. The highest frequency Rogers currently uses is 3.5 GHz for 5G only.

Australia has banned Huawei 5G equipment ( for spying) and there is no other supplier of 5G. There are petitions already to block the 3G switch off as millions will need to buy new phones Large numbers of medical alarms are on 3G. And Australia has secretly bastardized hardware phones so that we cant use Imported global phones. Trust the corporatocracy LOL. Only solution is to keep 3G forever.

The funny thing is, that I’m the only one here using only 2G cellular (GPRS or EDGE) because I selected it on the settings. Texting via SMS (what I do) is really OP and I have permanently full signal. I‘m rarely watching YT and still use a VCR and a tube TV. To everyone who reads this, try that and you get your live back.

Well how to change the imei number if you notice that someone is tracking your number
@CommsbriefLimitedOfficial2 ай бұрын
It’s illegal for any individuals to change the IMEI number in many countries including US, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Australia, India, Pakistan, South Africa and many others. It’s managed very strictly because it’s a very sensitive number. Only authorised personnel are able to track you. The exception is, of course, some countries where corrupt elements have access to this database. Now to address the problem you’re trying to solve: If you have a dual SIM phone, which is highly possible nowadays with eSIM, just use a different SIM compartment. Or change your phone.
@frankryan7822 ай бұрын
Also what about WiFi only devices???
@CommsbriefLimitedOfficial2 ай бұрын
@@frankryan782 Easy way to know: If there is a SIM, there is an IMEI. No SIM, no IMEI. If WiFi only and no SIM, then no IMEI.
@frankryan7822 ай бұрын
Well many KZbin videos saying that even using WiFi only without sim your device will transmit it's imei number. . Are you saying a WiFi only device cannot transmit it's imei number to the network it's using ?
@CommsbriefLimitedOfficial2 ай бұрын
@@frankryan782 An IMEI number is only transmitted when a cell phone connects or tries to connect to a mobile cellular network base station. That happens when a SIM card is inserted OR a phone with no SIM makes a call to emergency numbers like 911, 112, 999 etc. OR a phone with no SIM tries to search for a cellular network. The third one is very very unlikely and therefore if you have a phone with no SIM but a Wi Fi connection, it will only transmit IMEI if someone dials emergency numbers. In the UK for example, that means 999 and 112, and in the US, that means 911 and 112. So if you were to look for a general scenario (when you’re hopefully not dialling emergency numbers), the likelihood of IMEI being transmitted without a SIM would be close to negligible.
@frankryan7822 ай бұрын
Very interesting, so if somebody changes there simcard they will still know that phones history
@CommsbriefLimitedOfficial2 ай бұрын
@@frankryan782 Yes. The the IMEI belongs to the SIM card slot in your phone even if it’s eSIM because the slot for that is inside your phone. The only thing SIM does is to establish the connection between the phone to the network using the SIM slot IMEI number. So as long as the phone is talking to the mobile network (using SIM), the same IMEI is communicated.
