I live in a 120square foot tiny home in an Island here in the Philipines and power sometimes goes out when you need it. My work is online so availability of power is crucial. I have a 12V system with 3units 200 Watts solar a 150AH lead acid battery. During day time I'm using the solar system for 1 laptops w a monitor using a small car inverter and electric fan and lights are 12 DC. As long as it's not stormy i can do my work. Dring the night I'm using AC form the laptops and electric fan( I have 1 AC fan ans the other is DC). I'm plaaning to get a 12V freezer next.

Just like my ecoflow that I have spend 10K on... it's a WASTE OF MONEY. Guys don't buy backup batteries like the one on the video or like ecoflow. Buy HYBRID inverters that will use the grid (if you are on the grid or else they won't) and when the grid goes off they switch to battery. At the same time that they use the grid they use your solar panels too. I am getting rid of my ecoflow going to buy a Deye hybrid inverter. And I'll have 10KW of power. Not 3-4 or something.

Dawn strips the natural oils off of your plants. Even if you wash it off it takes all of the protecting oils off. Say bye bye to your plants.

With our solar we have battery backup & you can still have solar power when the gride is down. Plus, our solar has cut our power bill by 80% as our use of city power is rarely used & we sell excess back to the electric gride

I’ve just bought a second Berkey so my daughter can have my one . The new filters seem to filter so fast whereas my original ones at least 10 years old a bit slower as well as not filtering the last few inches in the tank . I have cleaned and primed the older filters on a regular basis. I have a rain water supply…Because I want my daughter to have a good fast filter system I thought I could give her one of the new ones with one of my original 10 year old ones as a compromise. Do you think this would cause a problem apart from slightly slower filtration in one element. Thanks in advance for your reply Also where can I get the priming bundle which includes the primer for the white fluoride filters as she lives in a town with municipal supply and I have unused white ones to give her also Thanks again

Don't buy crap. Get a hybrid inverter and external batteries. Plus PV panels. I wasted 10K on "backup solutions" like this ine. Trust me.

Most people seem to be unaware of the fragility of our power grid in the United States. Not only are there issues with outdated infrastructure, there are several other factors which could end up taking the grid down permanently. Given the current number of conflicts occurring on our planet, and the fact that a large portion of the world would like to see the United States completely disabled, a whole home solar system is essential if you want to have anything that remotely resembles normalcy after such an event. It is terribly easy to find affordable whole home solar solutions at a fraction of the price you would pay a residential solar installer. Their prices are inflated by at least 600%, and they take advantage of customers ignorance of solar power and it's actual wholesale cost. For the price of a few mid-sized solar generators, which are terribly inconvenient in the events of a long-term grid down scenario, you can purchase and build a whole home solar solution that will power everything in your home with plenty of power left over. I was able to purchase a rather large off grid full home solar system from signaturesolar.com for just under $15,000. That may seem like a lot of money, but even if the grid does not go down, I will be running my solar system full-time and never paying another electric bill. I have an 18 KW solar power array, combined with a hefty 35 KWH LiFePO4 rack-mounted battery bank which easily powers my home for three full days without sun once fully charged. There has been more than enough time to prepare for what is inevitably coming, and it is 100% possible to live completely off grid, completely self-sustainable, and all without sacrificing the modern conveniences we have grown to depend on. I also said goodbye to city water now that I have 1,000 gallons of potable water in tanks that are fed by rainwater from my roof. To treat the water, I installed two 5 stage water filters combined with a UV water purification system. Then, to process sewage, I have a septic system, and it requires very little maintenance. I'm not mentioning this to be an arrogant braggart. My goal is to encourage everyone to work toward establishing a completely self-sustainable existence, completely free from centralized state or corporate-run utilities. I am by no means a wealthy person, but I have committed the past 3 years to converting my home into an off-grid, self-sufficient homestead. The biggest obstacle I encountered was self doubt and negative thoughts. Believe it or not, I was able to afford everything I needed to go fully off grid by cutting back on spending by roughly 15%. I also sold anything of value that I did not need and borrowing the remaining bit of money at 0% interest through SignatureSolar.com. The system will pay itself off in less than 4 years! My solar panels are warrantied for 30 years, and my battery bank is warrantied for 15 years. Most people don't realize that you will actually save a great deal of money by outfitting your home with these "self-sufficient" technologies. Another important aspect of being prepared for the uncertain future is to have a sufficient amount of food for yourself and those who are living in your household. I have managed to stockpile roughly a year's worth of emergency food without breaking the bank by purchasing a few extra grocery items (with long shelf lives) every time I go to the store. It's never too late to start preparing for the incredibly uncertain future. The benefits of becoming self-sufficient and going off grid are far too numerous to list. In conclusion, it is absolutely possible to be prepared for the future and save money as a result. The most difficult part of the process for most people, including myself, was taking the first step and planning out my self-sufficient homestead. If I can do it, so can you!

Please show me where Berkey filters remove everything they claim over the 6,000 gallon lifespan. Or, does it do a great job for taste and odor over 6000 gallons because it's a giant carbon block loaded with silver and the important stuff that's extremely hard to remove (bacteria/virus/pfas/microplastics/etc) actually don't pass after a fraction of their claim? British Berkefeld also have NSF 42/53/372/401 on their newer version (Ultra Sterasyl) and they remove EVERYTHING they claim over the entirety of the filters life. They are also tested to true ANSI/NSF standards meaning they were tested to 800 gallons but only claim 400 gallons for the filters life. They also show all the data on the 800 gallons and how the filter performs.

He's right about the license!! If you Don't then no one Will know your family has Ham radios😅?!!!. For instance last month the FCC sent letters to owners of the repeater stations with a formal request for (ALL) Names and numbers of the licensed people using they're towers😮. !!! Or they will shut the towers down!!!. So When things go Left here , USA. This Nov. And cell phone are shut down. ( They) know who can still communicate & who cannot?? So To be in good with the new gov. COMPLY.. Don't be one of those families who stand with that old constitution!!! "You know the ONE about ALL men live FREE ; BREATH FREE ,ECT, ECT. GET YOUR LICENSE BEFORE YOU START TO LISTEN IN 😅

Cost of Sol PV (vs. Utility electric). Did the math for you🌻 Most utility (grid) payers do this simple Interest calculation..."I will pay 100$/mo. for decades...so 1200$ x 20 years=24,000."...NO you won't!!. Ever hear of Inflation? And it's Compound Interest...Utility rates of Inflation avg.~5.5%* (some have been recently 40+%!!) for US electric Rate increases. So at *traditional avg. U.S. rate increase (prior to 2020), 1200$/ year becomes ~3,500.$ in year 20. Conclusion, if use same amt. of kWh/mo. over next 20 years at *traditional avg. rate increase , then you will avg. ~$1750$/ yr... or cumulative ~35,000.$$ over 20 years!!🧐 (if rates don't increase*...good luck with dreaming🤪. + if you qualify, there are pot. State Incentives for solar+ a Fed. Tax Credit of 30% off cost of PV systems

If someone has 20 dollars, Baofeng is a very good choice. And there is many cheap radio too at cheeper price than your wouxun. For example, i have an old Puxing 777, since 15 year and as good as my Kenwood radio. So if you have enough money, you can buy everything, but people need cheap chinise radios too.

Grid down is what I'm after. Charging WiFi and some electronics like laptop and cell phone. And to run fridge/freezer for when the grid is down. The next thing I would need is for the well pump but I would need to first change the pump from 3 phase to single phase

Maybe watermelons are different but I planted Ambrosia cantaloupes last year and watched a million of these pruning videos and practiced pruning the best I could. I didn't get a single edible cantaloupe. This year I stuck the seeds in the ground, kept them fed and watered and did absolutely nothing else except cut off a few dead leaves. They ripened early and I'm now eating the best cantaloups I've ever had. Going to have to give some away!
