Rather than ruin good design, get a 96 hp Africa Twin... that should climb a hill. We dont need a two speed duel range that would be more complicated.

@chuckbowen4334 on the 110 it was a tiny simple gear box smaller than your wallet. One lever and you got low range. Did you watch the one in Idaho? AT wouldn't make it where we went.

It's got twice the hp. It don't need a dual transmission. It can handle a 70 percent grade. Honda, if you put a dual range on it, I won't buy one. It's absolutely not needed.

@chuckbowen4334 I didn't think I did either. There's a reason the Honda Trail was developed in Idaho with dual range. It's a tiny gear box that goes where the front sprocket is that's about the size of half a tennis ball and failsafe with one tiny lever. The ct110 had them and all of them are still kicking in Australia. Watch this and you'll see what I mean kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJ_UfIx7nJ11orMsi=_ozQuP2JsOf2knOp

@adammcmullin7240 awesome!! I'm not a huge fan of synthetic on that engine. I run Honda GN-4 10w30 in just about everything. It's cheap and engines I take apart that have always ran it have very minimal wear. If I run out of GN-4, I use Shell Rotella T4 10w30. It's a bit hard to find but I have some on my Amazon Store if you need it and cant find it. You can use the conventional Yamalube as well. Appreciate the question and good luck getting the new bike. Email us a picture and I'll share it up on the community section!!

@@PSBEadventures Thank you so much, i figured being an old engine design that never been upgraded would not be great for synthetic. Thanks again and i will send a pick of my new bike when i get it. Already have all the upgrades purchased. Handlebars, grips, Risers, skid plate, shifters, hand guards, shinko 214 front tire, windshield from a guy at Trailwaycafe named Jim. Just a friendly reminder for everybody to watch for snakes especially near water like where you had lunch and around the log you sat on. A good idea is to proceed cautiously and perhaps it would help to rev up the bike's motor good and loud before shutting down, perhaps the sound and reverberations in the air and ground will scare snakes away. Also perhaps shuffling slowly through the leaves that were covering the area where you were at would frighten them away. They have been known to be more active in the fall when they are seeking places to overwinter and hibernate (and in the Spring when they are coming out of hibernation). A guy on a BDR got bit by a rattlesnake when he walked up to a stream to fill up his water container.
