GFR sold out Shea stadium for three days, faster than The Beatles did. They were labeled the ' Great White Noise', from a British rock critic. Ha.

The very first concert I ever attended Steppenwolf was the headliner act. It was in September, 1969, at the Forum in Inglewood, California. I had just graduated from high school a couple of months before. Also performing that night were The Grass Roots and Three Dog Night, both future Hall of Fame bands. Not a bad way to start out seeing concerts for me. Oh and by the way, my ticket cost me $2.50. How times have changed.

Hi Hippie, great song this one reminds me very very good moments of the past. There's another one very psychedelic, IN A GADDA DA VIDA played by THE IRON BUTTERFLY.

Grace had a great voice, she wrote the song and she was stoned when she sang this early in the morning. I'm of her generation love rock and roll and jazz, funny don't care for many female rock and roll singer, but love female jazz singers, Billie Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald. others as well.

Pop) More than a woman (Disco/R&B) Love you inside out (Funk/pop) To love somebody (R&B) Massachusetts (pop/country) Wind of Change (funk/r&b), live 1975 from the Midnight Special) Alone (pop) Love So Right (R&B) Words (pop, 1979 Spirits Tour) Lonely Days (pop) You Win Again (pop) Run to Me (pop) How Can you mend a broken heart (R&B) Kiss of Life (rock) One (pop) Wedding Day (pop) Rest Your Love on Me Awhile (country) Bodyguard (R&B) For Whom the Bell Tolls (pop) Blue Island - live (pop) Our Love, Don't Throw it all away-Bee Gee's or Andy's version (pop) Secret Love (pop) This is Where I Came in (live) (pop) The 1989 One for all tour medley (excellent vocals & some humor) If you want to see them (the Bee Gees) and how they work in the studio try: (A) the making of their song "Tragedy" from 1979 (B) The making of the song "Just in Case" (C) The making of the video "This is Where I Came in" from their last cd in 2001

This live performance was being filmed in a studio setting for a national broadcast on PBS when it was brand new, so there were only a handful of people in the room. It is hard to believe they had been playing together less than a year, and Mark had only been singing and not singing / lead guitar. It seems like they had been playing together for years.
