Kinda depends on your preference of sci fi. If you're more into star wars/star trek I'd go star citizen. But if you like the show the expanse/battlestar galactica (both the og and remake) I'd go starfield.

I would argue that the difference is around 10-15 percent. Some games and applications perform better on the i9-12900KF, while others excel on the 5800X3D. The 5800X3D benefits from its 3D cache, which provides a performance boost in gaming.

This was me 5 years ago... I had a core 2 quad, 2gb ram. I could only dream of playing games from 2010. Later that year my dad gifted me a new pc consisting of r3 3200g and 16gb ram, which was an okayish computer. It could run indie titles and cities skylines at 720p lowest. Though after years of struggle finally last month i sold my old pc and upgraded it to i5 12400f and rx 6600xt which i earned myself. Cities skylines 2 doesn't run very well as it is poorly optimized but I'll wait. I hope you specsmaxx your setup someday.

I would definitely always enable Frame Generation, and if you have stable FPS with TAA, I would recommend TAA. However, if not, then go with DLSS Quality.

I am very satisfied with the performance so far. I previously had a 3070 TI and couldn't enjoy Cities Skylines at all.I will conduct regular benchmark tests as the cities grow larger, which will provide a better view of the performance. I aim to do a new benchmark weekly.But for now, it's sufficient and enjoyable. I hope this helps!

I played 100;s of hours on XBOX and at level NG+12 (or so). Decided to give GeForce Now (Ultimate) a try using an Nvidia Shield in 4K (much like a PC - 60fps). It is really great. I first tried using a cheaper Onn Google TV Pro box (max 30fps) which did not work that well. If you want a PC like experience and have a good internet connection this could be a good choice.
