Oh, I understand now...This presentation is due to the presence of the Chevron Refinery in Richmond... Makes sense to put a few sirens on the property... Although they are efficient in what they do, a petroleum process refinery is a danger in any community...
@noodlelynoodle.2 жыл бұрын
There's 5 oil refineries in the area not just the Chevron refinery, it's crazy how many are packed together here. This would be more about the Marathon and Tesoro refineries since this is talking about Contra Costa county
@Jhihmoac2 жыл бұрын
@@noodlelynoodle. - I'm not surprised... Those refineries serve much of the entire West Coast... You're talkin' some big time populations out that way, and when it comes to getting around, public transportation sure _ain't_ cutting it!
@noodlelynoodle.2 жыл бұрын
@@Jhihmoac yeah it's insane when you get up in the hills around here you can see 2-3 at a time depending where ya are, feels so insane having such hazardous production plants in the middle of one of the biggest population zones in the country
@Jhihmoac2 жыл бұрын
@@noodlelynoodle. - Like I said, mostly for all those cars, trucks, and planes... Where's that multi-billion dollar high-speed rail system they promised as far back as the 80s that was supposed to run from Diego to Frisco and everything in-between?
@noodlelynoodle.2 жыл бұрын
@@Jhihmoacoh yeah believe me I know, during traffic times it can be almost as bad as driving in la in certain areas. The highspeed rail has been being worked on but is actually going to be like 1/4 the distance and cost billions of dollars more than they budgeted for, with it not being sf to la or San Diego it's basically useless for the price it's cost the state

How unbelievably tragic. I heard these fires 🔥 were deliberately started by some type of laser. Virtually in essence Paradise was microwaved. If that is the truth these people are very evil. I hope and pray that the truth will be revealed. My prayers are with everyone involved in this horrific act. My heart breaks for all of you. 😭

300+ acres of the only forested area within walking distance of concord, devastated. this goes to show the danger that invasive species pose to Californias well being; paired with a lack of community action to prevent ecological catastrophes, like this is, is why we continuously have insane wildfire like these. what's funny is a lot of Californias native species rely on wildfires. but at that time, California was green year round, the hills stayed green through the dry and hot summers. ever since our native grasses were wiped out, we're at complete odds with the very environment we're trying to preserve. our grasses grow too tall, and die too fast, leaving us with fields upon fields of grass waiting to watch a blaze. wanna know why this fire started? it started from uncut grass that caught fire off the side of the road. if said grass had been cut, or replaced with an ecosystem that supports native grass, the fire probably wouldn't have started, and if it did it would be a small fire that would die out. not this monstrosity that was created through our own negligence. there is NO EXCUSE for this to happen. none. we're plenty educated and capable to prevent these travesties. we should consider ourselves lucky that the wind was tame that day, ALL of Mount Diablo could've caught fire if the dead grass behind this open space had caught fire. just thinking of it makes me shutter, that entire side of Mount Diablo hardly has ANY trees, ZERO natural rivers, ZERO native plants and miles upon miles of dead grass, as tall as a bush, waiting to be burned. this should be a wake up call to not only the shit show city/local government we have in the contra costa & bay area, but to anyone near Mount Diablo to start getting active in our communities and to start taking care of our degrading natural land.
