I know nothing about Tekken lore but these two together remind me so much of Karin and Sukura from Street Fighter.

They actually are based off the two characters, or at least the dynamic. Lili being Karin and Asuka being Sakura. The key difference was that in all the games until Tekken 8, they hated each other and wanted to fight to beat the other. But in Street Fighter, Karin and Sakura became friends who fought purely for fun.

When Asuka and Hwoarang met, I felt confused because I thought "wait, they NEVER met?". I mean, they're literally Jin's cousin and Jin's friend/rival, strange how they nver canonically met

I don't think Jin and Asuka have met cannonically in the lore, Asuka's stories have no connection with Jin and they are only connected because they share the same last name so Hwoarang had never met her. Most of Asuka's stories are just arguing and fighting Lili or getting revenge at Lei for trashing their dojo, honestly she was written horribly in the Tekken series as it looks like the game writers does not know where to place her as it took T5-T8 just to got her a role in the main story line as a side character

They're relatives. Asuka comes from a different branch of the Kazama clan. The Kazama Clan sort of functions like the family clans in Naruto. All members of the Kazama Clan uses the same style of martial arts and share the surname but most of them are distantly related.

I'm guessing you're referring to the db3 right after a combo. It may work on lower ranks, but once you reach higher ranks, then you're just asking to be punished, especially if you constantly do it.

@@keyjeyelpi it can be but don't spam it over and over again. Try once if opponent has ability to counter it then don't try it again use other options like f 4, it's safe move you'll have plus frame you can also use any grab after f4

⁠⁠⁠⁠@@Bluejaguar1that doesnt make any sense. db3 is a reactable snake edge and startup time is 23f and -26 on block (launch punishable indeed) whereas the ff n 2 is 19f startup + can be mixed up with ff2 (only -14 or -15 on block). I dont get what your talking about ffn2 can be seen by opponent pretty easy as snake edge has even more disadvantage.
