Love this ship my favourite!

We were on the same cruise guys and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves , we were down on deck two where the cabins have not been upgraded but were clean and comfortable apart from the air con which had two settings , really hot or really cold with no in between unfortunately . We really liked Discovery 2 but we think that the layout on Explorer is just a little better especially the glass house on Explorer . Great cabin tour and review thank you .

As wee bairn all I had was scran and share a 10ft by 6 room think yourself lucky you had an indoor toilet go to the Hilton if you want more lads make do or doo doo , place is grand 😍

Excellent tour gentleman! I love the Vision Class ships and it’s great to see how Marella is refurbishing them. She looks awesome! I wish Royal would do the same with the remaining Vision Class, but it will never happen. ☹️ My next cruise is on Grandeur of the Seas. She may be old, but she’s still a great little ship. 🥂🥂🥂

Thanks for showing us the changes - much improved and like the idea of having a sofa. Agree about the chair (we had the same problem on Virgin). Marella is on our radar 😉

Sorry guys... A Marella refurb' will not change the cabin... Maybe a new carpet, mattress but not a lot else will change.. What has changed on the ship?

It looks very similar to our de-luxe outside cabin on Discovery, which had been upgraded (7064). Our only real niggle was the wardrobe with the safe in, which didn’t have enough height to be useful with that space taken out. Everything else was great.

Just booked yesterday for April looking forward.

Has all decks been refurbished or just higher decks ?

i used to go to butlins in bognor when i was a kid and it was a traditional holiday camp, i personally don't like the look of it now

Again just off the Northern Lights cruise Now I am a Solo and had a table of eight solo's six ladies and two of us men It was great company, only I am not a Predatory male, and found it difficult to tell the ladies how Attractive they looked or well groomed I did not want them to think I was predatory to them, but wanted to show that they were attractive and well groomed, as appreciation, I was worried that if I said anything like that they would feel uncomfortable, and also that If I said nothing they would think what is wrong with this male, what is wrong with herself To those girls Anne, Maureen, Janice, and Marie, thank you girls you were all lovely, I just did not want to cause any percieved offence JIM

Just off the Northern Lights cruise, Which was excellent, All the food was good and well presented However much wants more I would have liked to have had an always available menu of a basic soup, a Minute steak, and fries, and a basic pudding, I am not really into the great food they provide, just simple foods for me please

I am pleasantly surprised by this cabin and ship after not having been on a ferry for a while. It sure looks different from years ago when I took the Stena line from Hoek van Holland to the UK.

This ferry looks gorgeous! I had no idea it took so long to cross between Liverpool and Belfast - I naively assumed that would only be an hour or two - wow!

Evening Jonny and Will, disco 2 is now on its way from Cadiz to Algeciras, so your gamble paid off, happy cruising.

Thinking you all will be okay, Explorer is in dry dock now (and I think it went in on schedule) and Disco 2 is sitting dock side it might be ready and being prepped for next week, fingers crossed for you!

The level of compensation is appalling considering the cancellation was so late in the day. I have not sailed Marella yet and this is putting me right off.

Hi we had the same cruise only for this date ,also the following week. As we live in Málaga we did not have the flights to worry about, we asked the cruise company (as we booked direct with them)that the cruise was ok for our second week they said yes so on the same day they said it was cancelled we took the offer to book the week of the 21st as well so we could get the 200.00 off and still have a two week cruise What a nightmare that said as we booked cruise only it was not possible to have the discount of a future cruise So we had to get the refund , we have had the refund but not the compensation as they said it is paid from somewhere else Unbelievable!

Hi guy's where were you departing from.. We travel with Marella but always need to go via Gatwick..which involves expensive flight and have wondered flight wise what choices I have if cruise is cancelled.. Hope you make your new cruise and have a wonderful time. Xx

Cruise insurance would cover cancelling your flights

I’d have done the same, and if cancelled again, you’ll be refunded again xx

Hi guys , sorry that your original cruise was cancelled after the rain and devastating floods seen in Spain . We really wanted to book the same cruise but we had to change our plans right at the eleventh hour due to family commitments and like you guys we will now hopefully be sailing on the 21st . Hopefully we'll see you at the bar , your shout , mines a pint and a G and T for the wife .

We’re due to sail on Marella Explorer from Malaga to the Canaries on December 9th, immediately after her dry dock which was delayed by Discovery 2’s late release. I have everything crossed but am braced to be in the same boat (hah!) as yourselves. 🤞🏻

We are going on ambition in January we are off to Cuba and the Caribbean. In the past we have only sailed on PO cruises but next year going to the Caribbean in January it was on Iona and that ship is to big for us. We have friends that have done lots of cruises on ambassador so we thought we would give them a try . I liked your video about it you gave lots of information thanks for that take care Rita

Like you videos very informative , we are joining Marella Voyager in Barbados in 4 weeks , in our 60's never been on Cruise (always travelled independently) . Never really fancied a cruise before but going to give it a try , looking forward to it after watching your videos

We’re very disappointed by the beds. We realise that a double bed is almost always going to be two bases pushed together but Ambassador don’t seem to turn them into a pseudo-double bed by the use of different bedding. They are still two singles, just side by side. If we wanted two singles we’d ask for them.
