Apologies for the technical issues at the beginning. WIFI can be hit and miss. Hopefully in the future I can upgrade my whole setup and get a better connection. In the meantime, start the video around the 8:00 mark where the quality improves. 😁

I saved money during the pandemic for travel and I did a year of cons last year where I went to 3 conventions I’ve never been to before, Fan Expo Canada was one of them. I totally understand what you mean by feeling home at fan expo, during my travels I realized that conventions are my happy place and now I plan on attending as many conventions as possible in my lifetime

I bought a photo opp with Sting & barely had 2 minutes with him. He didn't seem all that interested in interacting. I was very surprised & disappointed. Idk why it sounds like everyone else had a cool experience with him but me 😢

Damn, I'm really sorry to hear that. Photo-ops are tricky. The photo company doesn't want celebs to wait and take too much time so they try to get through as many people as possible - especially someone as popular as Sting. You don't really get that one-on-one time with the celebs like you would at a table. Hopefully next time Sting comes around, you can swing by the table and get a few extra minutes with him. If I'm there, i'll do my best to keep him there a little longer for ya.😁

I think I'm still waiting for someone to agree with me that Mario 3D World is S tier and maybe the best Mario game. Seeing it on a tier alongside Super Mario Land hurts me.

What did you use for the flames?

I used orange cellophane for the flames. It took almost a whole Christmas wrapping paper size roll to do the head and neck. After I applied them , I dry brushed red and yellow on the tips to give them depth.

We have so many here! Crazy binz, liquidation max, binge binz etc! I get SOOOO many things from there it isn't even funny! Dowels, stretch fabric used in back supports etc, full zentai suits, crafting tools, I've even found vinyl and 3d filament too! I even took a gamble on a resin (anycubic) 3d printer for $60... (Didn't work but still)

That's crazy you found all that. I first heard about it when a family member grabbed me 3 spools of 3d filament. Now, I go once a week and see what new stuff they have. Happy hunting!

True, but ive been using my $2 sanding stone for years and I've cut down on my waste of blades. Whatever works for you - as long as you're cosplaying.

Exacto blades cost nearly nothing while that sharpening stone will cost at the bare minimum of 40$ for a good quality stone.

I've heard similar but the stone I show in the video, I got from Dollar Tree for $2 and I've used it for years. It's saved me buying new blades every other month.

I thought i saw you there when I was meeting the F13 Final Chapter cast. I have a question are the people who are sitting at the tables with the guests handling the money volunteers or are they sent with the guests?

Haha yes ive heard shes not a convention person - maybe one day. To answer your question, it depends. There is a team of volunteers who are available to sit with the guests and handle the money. However, some guests do bring their own people - could be agents, could be significant others, etc. Some guests are sometimes so busy that they need both a volunteer and their own person.

@@myerscorpcosplay Ah ok thanks, I was going ask Sean Clark who manages pretty much everyone that was there about that and about what you can ask the guests currently because of the strike going on, but ended up talking to him about filming locations that hes doing etc and completely forgot.....I wasn't sure what to say to the guests because of the on going strike so it was a little awkward this time.

100% Thankfully I've been with my wife for over a decade. Cosplay Is Not Consent is not about talking to someone. Its the inappropriate and unwanted comments, touching and photos taken of not just females, but everyone in the cosplay community.

I feel ya bro. I gave up smoking 10 years ago along with drinking so I needed to find a healthier vice. So I started drinking Coke Zero (like water )for years but gave it up recently because it was affecting my health, specifically my joints. Loving your videos, keep up the good work!!

6 out of 10 is accurate. No photo ops, no real mention of the 10th Anniversary but I had lots of fun. I was really thankful for the slow times because I finally got to talk to some other volunteers that I had worked with before at NFCC and Frightmare. It's always stupid busy at Niagara so I had never had the time. It was cool chatting with you as well! Funny that you bring up Tom Green...I have a funny Tom Green story involving D.J Qualls that happened near the end of HCC.

It was great talking to you too. The con being slow is a nice change of pace compared to Fan Expos and Niagara Falls where we are running around all day. Frightmare will be interesting this year with such a large lineup.

15 seconds! That's crazy. I have to say, speaking on your large cosplays that always win. I've always said that armor cosplay should be judged separately from fabric cosplay. Those dresses do take a lot of skill and time and I find they are often overlooked. It's super hard to compete a ballgown against these big game and transformer cosplays. I've seen this in many contests and I just don't understand why they don't have different categories between the two.

Agreed. As a foam builder, I feel that I could easily blow some of the gowns out of the water from an audience perspective but I do understand how much work goes into some of the dress and gown cosplays that I know they usually worked three times as hard as I did. Id love if we could split them somehow.
