I'm 51 and was lucky to grow up listening to the Platters. My mother played her album quite often. This song in particular reminds me of her and brings tears to my eyes every single time I hear it. The Platters, such a wonderfully talented group.

Stationed at the Marine Base in San Diego, Came the time,turned out the girls had to stand duty...Joe and I had a table for four.On break the Platters came by , I invited them to join us.Surprised,yeah they did. Joe just could not take his eyes off of Tony Williams' wife..man! who could? Zola Taylor a red headed,green eyed beauty..We thanked out dates for the chance of sharing their seats...

I love his vocals.. and the song.. just pure talent..
