I need to move around. Can’t stand in one place too long, I’d literally pass out as a surgical tech lol. Plus MAs can work in so many different specialties

Most small towns are backwards, bigoted, boring, stagnant, little or no economic growth, and hold contempt for changed.

I’m glad you realized early on that this field wasn’t for you. You should always do what you love, even if it doesn’t have the biggest payoff right off the bat. People glamorize healthcare and all the money you make, but the reality is that it’s not glamorous at all. It’s hard, difficult work and it’s rewarding, but it’s not _ER_ or Greys Anatomy.

Go back to school and finish the surgical tech route and work up to the first assistant role. One thing that has stuck with me. If it takes 3 years those years are going to come no matter what at least you would have a degree that you really wanted.

I live in a small town in the midwest Missouri. Small town = Holier than thou, and small mindedness! Nothing better to do than spread malicious gossip, and black ball. These towns have no room for Christian folks, run for your life do not look back!

Very good video. On February 18, 25th, I will receive my bachelor's degree in healthcare administration. I'm now an Accounts Receviable Rep, but I'm looking into my choices for once I graduate, and this video is helping me figure out where to start. Thank you ❤

I went through this same exact thing, but I stayed for four years on the team. I worked in account management, so my male boss couldn't exactly get rid of me because my Sales Reps loved me. He attempted to try to frame his boss into this horrible scary person so that he was the only point of contact. Long story short, she was fired, and he got her job after claiming he never wanted it. The mental abuse I endured working under him is going to be difficult to work through. I will be ok. Be careful people, they always try to make it like it's what's best for you. He would even ask me if I was happy? There are sick people out there guard your mental health.

Im glad you’re giving the field more exposure because not many people know of it or they pursue these type of careers after they already gone to school and couldn’t find a job with the degree they got Any career in an allied health program is a great choice like: Surgical Technologist (as you mentioned👍🏻) Medical laboratory technician/ technologist Respiratory therapist Radiological technologist Physical therapist assistant Sterile processing technician Great video!!

Yes the course is completed at your own pace so how quickly you finish depends mostly on how long it takes you to digest the information and finish the modules (:
