Is this a fun/funny thing to say to people? Or will it come across as though I don't accept their compliment? Or is it kinda like teasing the other person back like, "we both know you're just saying that." I don't want to use it wrong and create an awkward or unfriendly situation when I tried to be funny 😂
When I heard the 'Taiwansee souvenir' in the story, the first thing that came to my mind was the famous Taiwanese food: stinky tofu (臭豆腐). Of course the real life stinky tofu is still edible 😆

Could you please consider putting English subtitles to your Japanese rakugo content? This suddenly reminded me of my late grandfather, so I started crying, and then my dad came in and asked me what I was crying about - but he doesn't understand Japanese, so I couldn't show him the video ^^; I understand it's a lot of work, so only if you feel it'll be useful!

Can't believe this such good stories only had 2k views. I never know what Rakugo is, but I think I'll going to like it after this video.
Are you going to be making more Rakugo (or these Unuseful Phrases) videos? I'm loving the content.

This was so good, twenty five minutes seemed to pass in an instant. Your performance was great, I loved how you played each character, their personalities shine through even in the smallest of gestures, and your acting delivers the humor just as well as the witty dialogue does! Just amazing.
Have either of you read any Akane Banashi in Shonen Jump? It has introduced me to Rakugo and to your podcast and channel!

Very interesting. This was the first I heard about the original, darker ending with the well. It made me realize that the picture book Tikki Tikki Tembo is based on Jugemu. I always wondered about the authenticity of that book, which claims to be based on an old Chinese folk tale... But I now know is definitely not. Like I said, very interesting!

Yes I did. With the masks, it was a bit difficult to maximize the potential of Rakugo in the Dark. I'll try again sometime without the masks.

I watched 白いバラ as a result of listening to this episode. That was my first exposure to Shinoharu Shisho’s Japanese language rakugo. I was very impressed by how good that 創作落語 was. I hope other fans of your English language rakugo will have a chance to hear such 素晴らしい下ネタ from you, in English in the future. I would also love to hear how you try to translate some of the jokes in 白いバラ into English. I wonder if it’s even possible...
