I have lost a few close people in my life. Two of my best friends...one last year, a mentor, an ex-girlfriend, a father type, a co-worker, an old drinking buddy to murder, etc. I often wonder what's on the other side. I don't know if it's profound grief, loneliness or maybe I just really miss them. I think of them everyday. It's like a depressing burden to miss them so much. I find myself talking to my late friend Brandon when I feel some kind of way often. It is of little comfort but I hope he is listening. I await the day I can join them to see them again if that's possible. I hope it's like this, though I'm unsure. When you become truly alone this is the kind of shit that is in your head. It's like everyone has checked out of your life and you're left behind. You go in but it's not all that easy. The only comfort is that they are with you hopefully and maybe someday you'll be together again. You try to make them proud and I find myself often worrying if I'm disappointing them if I'm not doing enough to take advantage of the life they no longer have. It's a lot. But it's the way forward until my time comes. I hope to see them again and especially for Brandon, Chenoa, Kenneth and Kymm to be happy and not hurting anymore. I remember Kymm's laugh and smile, bone cancer took that away. Cancer took Kenneth too. To see Brandon unburdened by alcohol or Chenoa with depression. I would love to see that. I hope the other side is like this.

I just watched this movie like less than an hour ago directly after taking shrooms for the first time. THANK GOD my trip peaked like 2 hours before I started this movie. I had no idea what the movie was about, only seeing the trailer, and me and my friends decided to watch it. This scene in particular will stick with me for a long time.

This scene destroyed me. I’ve lost to many cousins and friends through the years. My prayer is meet them on the other side when it’s my time. Until then brothers.

This scene emphasizes why I'm not afraid of death as much as I should be. Not saying I'm encouraging it, just that we all agree that all our time will come eventually. So it only proves we're not meant to be here forever. This moment is supposed to come where the stress and fear of life vs. death (that these boys clearly had) washes away and were comforted by the ones we love who've went through the same thing already. All the ones you've had to painfully say goodbye to, is waiting for you to come back, to wherever it is we came from, before Earth. All that unbearable grief turns into overwhelming love.

Mr. Melancholy may only physically appear in this one scene but his presence permeates the whole film, and that makes him a great villain. Some of the subtle details in the movie like the arcade machines almost makes it feel like he is taunting Isabel. "You won't even realize that you are dying."

This was the best scene in the movie, but sadly, the movie as a whole suffers from being 20-30 minutes too short. The open ending kinda ruins it tbh, feels like an incomplete movie
@Axxhelairon
@Axxhelairon Ай бұрын
wasn't an open ending, they unambiguously stayed in the prison realm instead of confronting the nature of her situation as very clearly demonstrated by scene where they cut out the tv inside of themselves and then the next scene is back to normal apologizing for the breakdown

@@AxxhelaironI originally took it as Owen trying not to draw the attention of the denizens of the Midnight Realm as he was on his way to bury himself. Maddy had previously stated that everybody there works for Mr. Melancholy.
@AbOveandBeOnd1
@AbOveandBeOnd1 20 күн бұрын
@@brandonwalls9062There was a more definitive ending to the film, according to the director, where he decides to leave the midnight realm and embraces who he is. However, the director wanted the ending to be more ambiguous. We can probably assume that he leaves eventually based on the mirror scene and "you still have time" being written on the road. We just don't get to see it, and i honestly prefer it that way. We can insert ourselves into his shoes, and decide if we would take that leap, and that's ultimately what the film was trying to portray.

I've watched this scene dozens of times now, and it's that very last kiss that Kevin gives Kerry that gets me every time. It makes me so happy that Kev's IRL boys are both happy and healthy, holding championship gold and living their own wrestling dreams in a MUCH healthier industry, usually with their old man right by their side. Maybe a week ago, Kevin Von Erich got to walk his two boys down to the ring at Wembley Stadium, I like to think that them two boys had a whole dynasty cheering them on from up above.

Making me wish more people dove into the other supernatural beings,and stuff we saw in the show. All the shows villains had such a creepy ai monster energy,and I never expected Mr.Melancholy to look that weirdly terrifying.Like some sort of cgi super nightmare.It really was a twisted alien dreamscape energy with him,and his minions.The creativity to make the characters that sound so unmenacing in theory and turning it around was impressive!There was so much creativity in the movie
